not anon, but DF is a game where you lose a lot, and after you figure out how to survive against absolute "FUN!!!!" without just building a wall and hiding, you basically need to inflict difficulty onto yourself. All these fancy builds and I'm planning a butcherbox maybe on par with cloud anon. I'm still between a 20" box fan or a 14" vornado fan. Big is great but the hole needed for it will not be clean and have structure running across it. Plus the box fan is only a three speed while vornado is a four speed and is fucking silent on low. I already have an arduino working for both cases. Although I don't know how I'll do the filters for the vornado. Maybe still just a coof cube that I was planning for the box fan just stuck over the vornado encasing it.

From this video: 1440p, DLSS Balanced, RT on, 2x FG, results in about 130-140 FPS. Without FG it's in the 75-85 range which is also decent.
1440p DLSS Balanced 4x MFG and Path Tracing looks to be about 140-150 FPS, but I think that's way too many fake frames for it to be reasonable.
Just be like Chuddha and at inner peace with yourself and accept playing vidja games without cranking everything to ultra. It's fine.

My situation so far: Gaming Rig, watercooled overclocked Intel-CPU (1700), rockstable, Nvidia4070, DDR4 RAM, all M2 and SSD. No TPM (Trusted Portal Module) for Win11. I know there are external TPMs for around $20 out there; but somehow I think about a new motherboard (DDR4) that gives me the opportunity to install Win11 on it. Basically re-use all parts, especially the DDR4 due to the price. Will mount a newer M.2 SSD for the next Win11 (maybe 12). Why is this the best idea that I ever had? Any (manufacturer-) experiences or recommendations?

Time to see if these nuts work as suitable standoff replacements. They are a bit bigger in radius though so electrical tape might be needed to avoid a short, or I might file them down.
