>>448283 >What is a bad color? It's subjective but I'd say shades >>448276 >>448277 >>448278 Are not really traditional colors, but are shades of light. I mean Grey literally means "without color" so I'd say it's pretty bad at being one.
botanically tomatoes are fruit. doesn't mean they should not be considered vegetables in the context of cooking! the ways of categorizing are bound to the problems the category is meant to solve. there is purpose in any definition that it cannot simply be detached from. function creates category.
we are talking design here. so white, black, and any shade in between very much *definitely* is a color (!!!), you absolutely worthless piece of uneducated, self-loving, unlikable, shortsighted, sunnofabitch goddamn shit! nobody is interested in your primary teacher having told you about white not being a color, just because her physics educator told her to repeat that in order to prepare kids for their first physics class. BECAUSE WE ARE NOT TALKING PHYSICS BUT SUBJECTIVE PERCEPTION, TO WHICH THE QUALITY OF BEING WHITE APPEARS AS AN EXTEND ALONG THE SAME AXIS AS BEING OF GREEN QUALITY!!! THEY ARE PROPERTIES OF SHAPES BEING PROJECTED ONTO YOUR RETINA, ACTIVELY INTERPRETED BY YOUR STUPID MONKE BRAIN. WHITE, BLACK AND GREEN IN TERMS OF QUALIA ARE FUCKING COLORS, AND IN VISUAL EXPRESSION CAN BE MADE USE OF, NO MATTER WHAT PHYSICAL SUBSTRATE ALLOWS FOR THE EMERGENCE OF THESE QUALITIES. SHUT THE FUCKKK UUUUUUUP!!!!!! idiot.
>>448451 It is not that I would care so much about *this*. I care about stupid fcking faggots feeling important and superior when in fact they neither have understood what they are even talking about nor have been asked about their clueless, replaceable takes. I mean come on. they did not even honestly believe to be contributing anything valuable here. pure npc brainfart moment, repeating after mommy.
be real here. the color this monnitor displays to you consist of certain combinations of EXACTLY three different wavelengths - fucken RGB. yet anon would not call -idk- teal or orange NOT a color, ALLTHOUGH THERE ISN'T EVEN TEAL LIGHT BEING EMITTED BUT A COMBINATION OF RGB. In one case it is 'acceptable' to speak of a color (teal or orange), but when the sum adds up to ''white'' it suddenly isn't anymore? fucken kek. hypocritical bs to feel like ones 'teaching authorities'. pure social mimicry.
>>448440 >gets triggered over color definitions kek, here's a (you) for your troubles
I stated they weren't "traditional colors" and that that take was subjective. Yet you still posted a kindergarten level thesis coping that it's only "technically the truth" this entire thread is dunking on random colors so chill the fuck out.
>>448457 I do not get triggered by you being wrong. I get 'triggered' by you being a moron. - you could say I indulged in focusing on how surface level your understanding really is, when you acted oh-so-smart. tell me. what did you try to accomplish if not 'look at me, I know something you all have never heard of'? by not being self-conscious you are littering the lives of people you encounter.
believe me! I know this (your) behavior very well. you can find it at school. at work. sometimes in family. and I love calling out self-importance like that. and I am grateful for your validating picrel. because you know that I am right. and there is no escaping but humor.
>noooooooo but you are self-important as well. that's alright. but at least I know enough shit to be able and argue *why* others are. and I prefer that over acting a role. maybe I had a bad day. maybe I am an asshole. you do not have to pleased about [me]. but at least I do not claim to be something I am not.
stop trying to elevate yourself and you will not be finding me attacking you anymore.
>>448459 >look at me, I know something you all have never heard of Again, it's subjective. Grey not being a traditional color is my own opinion. If you like grey white and black and think their the coolest colors out there I'm perfectly happy to hear you out.
I agree with >>448451 Your paragraph long rants on my opinion is a bit silly, it's colors. Imagine writing 4 paragraphs on why green is perfect and that it HAS TO BE a creative color.
if it is subjective, why use these terms? and if your language is inaccurate and uses pretty obviously agreed upon concepts, why call my reaction a kindergarten-thesis? ;)
>>448466 >why did you use the notion of traditional colors and shades? Traditional color models had no white or black until Goethe's theory of color from 1810. Which states them as sources of color but not colors on their own right. Before our modern understanding of light waves most color models lacked the color white black or grey. This was due to the fragmentation of light through a prism, which only produced chromatic colors. The general consensus was that the perception of light and dark was not color itself but shades of light.
I personally agree with these model's. Pure black, white and grey are achromatic, which means do not contain a hue. I would say a black and white image is "without color" wouldn't you?
>>448468 You can disagree, again this is all subjective and relative to your perspective but spurging out makes your rant seem less like a thesis and more like a childs tantrum. >SHUT THE FUCKKK UUUUUUUP!!!!!! idiot. >WE ARE NOT TALKING PHYSICS BUT SUBJECTIVE PERCEPTION
>>448428 2011 class presentation 45 degree angle bottom left to top right with yellow highlighted text in front using Calibri or Arial font material right here
i'm starting with the one everyone in this thread prob already knows because they are too pretentious to use #FFF but for real, #FFF is only acceptable for body text
>>454174 Beautiful color, but I can't imagine that looking good against anyone's skin tone except for perfectly white blemish free skin. Most people that white usually have pink undertones which would look bad against this color, however.
>>454970 >THE ZION OF FOREVER, BEEN FORSAKEN >MANMADE HORRORS POLLUTED WITH JUDAISM >BLACK, TRANNIES, IIIISLAAAM >MANMADE HORRORS POLLUTED WITH JUDAISM
I made an argument last week in a meeting for aspirational color elements which was big balls.
Colors which are not awful, but all their fractions are. colors you could pick adjacent to but not opposites, down tone pastels, browned out tones which don't seem to go anywhere but to brown, but are not themselves brown. You see them all the time in globohomo art, worst art, possibly best palates, able to carry even the worst art
>>463613 *botanically* there is no such thing as a vegetable and tomatos are fruit. >doesn't mean you shouldn't ever call a tomato a vegetable in *culinary* settings... even though the outer covering of a tree is called "bark", it can also refer to the noise a dog makes. words are (ambiguous) pointers through context, not the phenomena they refer to.
*physically* white is not a color because every color can be created by using a single (pure) frequency of light; color is a measure for *absence of some of the usual "white" (sun light) frequencies*. >doesn't mean you shouldn't ever call your titanium white oil paint a color in *artistic* settings...
people who cannot accept the functional everyday categorization of a *tomato as a vegetable* are obviously equally retarded as those who cannot accept the functional categorization of *white as a color*. in both cases they are posturing by blindly repeating words of an "authority". >how could I touch your dog when *physically* atoms are 99,99% empty space and there was no matter in contact reeeeeeeeeeeeee
this whole debate is fucking retarded. fighting against an arbitraty categorization by insisting on another is stupid. but please also accept that your ignorance of how physics works still doesn't make white a color either -.-
