if the car is low like most scatpacks are, the subframe and arb mounts are the first parts to contact the ground. once you whack the front sub around enough on the pavement it starts to alter the steering geometry and caster which is probably the cause of the deadzone you're describing. a not-wrecked car doesn't have this issue.

I know for a fact that the cars you are seeing in your country are not officially sold there and could have just as easily come from Copart as they did from the factory. The front subframe is a very easily damaged part that can be covered up with a new plastic under tray.
if it was factory new then it shouldn't have had any steering issues, the rack is too short of a ratio for there to be an appreciable dead zone, it's the same steering rotation lock to lock as a Miata and the car has like 9 degrees of caster, if you so much as breathe on the steering wheel it's going to turn.

my T300 + T-LCM pedals are getting on my nerves.
the pedals (neither of the 3) won't go past 80% when connected via RJ12 and when in T-LCM mode.
the pedals are calibrated and it worked beautifully for the past year but it's borked since I last swapped from PC to PS5.
recalibrating the pedals on PC didn't help.
only solution is to run the pedals seperatly over USB but that only works on PC

no because the map is a series of individual roadway chunks put together like hot wheels track and not a single track model.

in essence basically yes, but functionally ACE may have similar limitations to the original game such as low floating point precision which makes extremely large maps unstable. The only reason the shutoko is even functionally possible in AC to begin with is CSP. Before the floating point precision fix it was more or less impossible to drive on anything larger than the Nurburgring because your car would vibrate until it phased thru the ground.
