>Check the doc for the latest info. OVGTCCs3 Starting Saturday May 2nd, Hillclimb round2 postponed. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vlVjNh8r6o_KYUFHf7Hcp8ZaYS5lsEZwFvTeu_K_c1Q/edit?gid=2067389525
>We're decompiling the classic PC game Whiplash and rebuilding it for modern hardware! The game is currently playable (with a few bugs). Check out the GitHub: https://github.com/Zizin13/ROLLER
>>28961076 Always remember to update current info, there's 2026 San Andreas State Rally planned on july 11th >OVGTCCs3 Starting Saturday May 2nd old news, we're at round 5 of 6, may 30th and june 6th
>>28961327 The road tyres are for the slow, light cars. They can't cope with the power and weight of modern cars plus you have to brake more which just cooks the brakes after a lap or two.
>>28961577 The other reasonably priced option are fanatec pedals, unfortunately. On the bright side, they really are miles better than their wheelbases
>>28961845 Is it priced as a Ferrari? I mean, considering how it looks it can't be much more than the electric Renault R5 (which is kind of cool for an electric)
>>28961897 It shares a bunch of styling cues with the Estoque concept (which they should've built instead desu), and some of those also made their way into the Huracan and Aventador (mainly the 45° slats in the bumper and the "nose cone" section).
>>28962631 s397 keeps fucking with the tire model and making it worse so I dont know. rF2 was perfect. if it only if it had good AI. so the only choice is irenting
>>28962399 while fh6 is pretty they did cut back on some visual flair, i imagine to get it running on the Series S. Smoke, and especially lighting inside the tunnels
>game set in a country with front license plates >drive a car made for said country's market >can't have a front plate >some cars even have screw holes for front plates
>>28964030 no matter how hard they try to mask it, you can still see the same ancient Torque3D underpinnings... surely another laggy electron overhaul of the menu will work?
iracing is knocking it out of the park and giving the people what they want as usual while every other sim is just a permanent tech demo masquerading as """"early access""""" or even worse a """"full 1.0 release""""""
>>28964549 Wheel and pedal support officially in the next nightly build. No need for awkwardly holding your pedals in the middle anymore like with DOSBox.
>>28964706 >while every other sim is just a permanent tech demo masquerading as """"early access""""" or even worse a """"full 1.0 release"""""" it do be like that
>>28965846 Considering they cant figure out single player AI, it does not surprise me. Kunos has never had good AI so a single player campaign would not be that fun
>>28966863 actually i dont fuck with this anymore because of the pc image upload apps i only respect someone building a waifu out of primitives like a real sick fuck forza liveries are forever ruined
>>28966917 >nooo you can't use le tool it is le bad honestly yeah the livery editor has been the most fun ive had in like the past 2 horizons and getting reasonably good at it is something you should aspire to dont let your memes be dreams
>>28966929 yeah but theres way more import slop now
>>28966932 Only the really lewd ones. Some creators announce short time windows on social media during when their skins are downloadable before they unpublish them.
>>28966937 >the livery editor has been the most fun ive had in like the past 2 horizons and getting reasonably good at it is something you should aspire to
>tools? no thank you i prefer to tighten bolts with my mouth, eat food directly from the packaging without bowl or utensils, and keep time by staring directly at the sun.
>>28968048 FH6 is for gay redditors with balding heads and brown skin that also need glasses to function and smoke weed and drive dodge challengers. For your needs I can recommend the new Tokyo Xtreme Racer.
Yep it would be almost perfect for that as long as you can ignore the fomo after the first few weeks.
Just hooking around getting skill points is about as brain dead or flow state depending on your state of mind that you can get in any racing game current or past.
It would be a perfect location if FH shifts a little more to Motorsport to make up for no more FM games. They already seem to be adding more race cars and actual circuits to the latest game, I see either a Nordschleife-centered European setting or perhaps somethings similar to the crew with a condensed America with more accurate real circuits dotted around.
>>28968515 I will never forgive this game for having such spectacular content that it completely overshadowed MC II which had much more SOVLful gameplay and atmosphere https://youtu.be/lixuwXad-AM
>>28969435 >The whole wheel area has this air of melancholy i felt this (i play sitting in my rig using a controller because the FFB in 6 is still dogshit)
>>28970156 >buying things from western companies that manufacture in china is the same thing as buying from a native chinese company that is lethally obligated to kowtow to the whims of the ccp regardless of what your gweilo laws are
>>28970159 dumbass what do you think the manufacturing is exempt from those things just cause it's connected to a western company?
what the fuck is china going to do? how retarded do you have to be to be scared of ccp, instead of your own domestic glowies? doubly so if american. those spooks have you by the balls, never forget that.
>>28970171 >dumbass what do you think the manufacturing is exempt from those things yes that's how manufacturing works there are lots of things expressly illegal to sell in china or for chinese citizens to possess that are still made there. moza is an CDM auto parts manufacturer in addition to a peripheral company, so they are deeply embedded in their country's government and must abide by the whims of the party in a way that thrustmaster or logitech do not. if the ccp says moza has to package spyware with their driver package in the vague hopes a us government employee will buy a moza wheel and leak classified data then they have to do it. thrustmaster and logitech will never, and are not american companies anyway, so they don't have to do what the americans say, either.
>>28970196 no chinkshit on /o/ means no chinkshit on /o/ no evs, no peripherals, no fucking aliexpress haul threads go back to your fucking handler and tell him, from me, that he's a buck toothed yellow skinned oily haired squinty eyed smelly cockfiddler and his ancestors should have been ground up and used as fertilizer in a japanese rice field.
>>28970220 again, foreign companies manufacturing in china and a chinese company selling chinese market products abroad are two completely different things and none of your ricepaper-thin communist propaganda can prove me wrong
>>28970176 quite simply because Moza does not license Immersion's FFB technology like most western manufacturers do, their wheels have low compatibility and typically will not work unless a game explicitly supports them.
logitech wheels are generally compatible with everything with some rare exceptions, while thrustmaster wheels are backwards compatible with literally everything including ancient games and operating systems as far back as win98. you can't play 1nsane, monster truck madness 2 or gran prix legends with a moza wheel, but tm's new dd works fine.
>>28970409 They probably want a set character for their "deep narrative" they are gonna tell but no one would wanna play as a nig apart from nigs themselves, wokes or unless the story is centered around nig culture.
>>28970271 oh, really? I thought it was just like a controller so it would work anywhere. good to know, not sure why other anons couldn't just say that. is pxn in the same boat? I only know thrustmaster from their overpriced hotas. when I was as looking around for DDs online everyone recommends either moza pxn or famatec, and pxn has the most budget bundle.
>>28970445 chinks killed more of their own than the nips ever did during the Great Leap Forward >lol what if we made sparrows extinct, surely this will have no effect on crop pest control
>>28970454 >oh, really? I thought it was just like a controller so it would work anywhere. no, ffb wheels need explicit support in games or else you get no ffb or worse no input at all.
i think with moza there is a compatibility mode that "works" with unsupported games but you get no ffb. pxn is probably similar but i haven't heard from any owners. basically the tiny amount of money you save over a thrustmaster or logitech wheel is offset by the poor compatibility and janky driver package. 99% of moza complaints i hear is that the software is ass, but in compatible games it works fine.
the thing is if i'm gonna pay near as makes no difference $400 for a game controller it better fucking work perfectly in every single motherfucking video game, and only thrustmaster wheels do that.
do pedals have the same problem? there's those metal ones from aliexpress everyone shills and saying that load cell is the first thing you should get as an upgrade
>game crashes after 15 minutes of play time >research points to my 1080ti being the issue >no fix seems to work for me >still waiting for a patch Why the fuck is a game that's virtually identical in graphical fidelity the the previous 2 installments being such a cunt now? Why must I suffer like this?
>>28970473 yes load cells are a meme and require very careful calibration, they have a tendency to fail as well, but that's mostly due to the cheap and shoddy construction of a lot of these aliexpress pedal sets which are typically clones of old diy opensimwheel pedal kits from like 20 years ago and are assembled with all the care of flatpacked furniture. everyone itt who has gotten a load cell has complained about their shit breaking multiple times, meanwhile my t3pas have been in constant use for over a decade with not a single failure.
now load cells do feel more realistic and can improve your braking precision, lots of people like to claim that a load cell is more physically accurate than a potentiometer when it comes to how a real car behaves, and that's true. but it simply doesn't matter how realistic it is if it isn't reliable.
>>28970484 >based china giving us affordable stuff while jew drive prices to retarded highs
yes based china selling $300 peripherals made in a sweatshop from extruded aluminum and scooter motors that only work in a handful of modernslop games, surely they can save us from the evil clutches of thrustmaster and their $400 time-tested competition proven gold standard that works in every racing game ever made since the dawn of time and will probably continue working long after the heat death of the universe. yes, please give me the meccano-set-looking chinkslop with the spyware drivers and the amazon keyboardsmash company name that might not be around next month much less next year.
>>28970478 its likely there is a memory leak in the LOD system, just like there is in every iteration of the title. always goes unnoticed because no one really tests the mid tier graphics settings
>>28970523 >just spend like $650 to buy custom handmade pedals from neils "bluetooth suspension" heusinkveld and you'll get something that works!!!1111 maybe!!!1111
>>28970492 man... alright guess thrustmaster is gonna be the thing for me. or Logitech.
also I don't get load cell. can't the effect just be replicated with a spring or elsstomer and a curve? like, if it gets harder to push to apply more brake, you can just tune it and use a hall sensor, right?..
>AC Evo cancelled their career mode >LMU's career mode appears to be in dev hell (no news or updates in months) >iRenting says they're continuing to develop their own It's getting harder and harder to not just jump on the iceracing train.
i looked at the wheel doc and the old wiki guide, am i reading it right that the price concious way of getting a solid wheel plud h-shifter is a g29 with the driving force shifter addon? im trying to not blast too much money on something that runs the risk of sitting in its box most of the time my reference is a driving force GT wheel that got a good amount of use but has been boxed for years now
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7NZpeAmdxk apparently stuntman is back, but i doubt any of Reflection guys behind the og's stellar physics is making this, also looks like unreal engine slop with all the asset store cars in the background
>>28970706 >if it gets harder to push to apply more brake, you can just tune it and use a hall sensor, right? My understanding is that load cells are pressure-sensitive, rather than position-sensitive like a hall sensor. It's not really the same thing. My wheel/pedal drivers don't allow me to "tune" the brake like that by adjusting the maximum dead zone, either. That has to be done in each game if I want to do it and sometimes it's either too granular or the setting doesn't exist at all. On another note, I booted up LMU and found that it didn't agree with my drivers on where my wheel's center position was.
>>28970950 Remember that Saber has Mudrunner under their belts, it isn't entirely hopeless. I'm happier for the return of PS2-era game structures though instead of another open world 'reimagining' of an old series.
>>28970976 >Remember that Saber has Mudrunner under their belts, it isn't entirely hopeless Saber is such a conglomerate of dev studios that it's hard to give them credit or assign blame for any previous project.
