It's well known how difficult she was on the set of the original movie. You wouldn't be saying that men bother me if I pointed out that Christian Bale is known to be difficult on set.
But I hope she reads this, bro. Maybe she will pat you on the head and give you a cookie for being such a powerful feminist ally and white knighting for her on 4channel.

They have a number of new things they haven't shown us officially. There's at least one more wave of the Godzilla crossover. Then there's an articulated vintage style Bebop and Rocksteady that leaked ages back, and an entire G.I. Joe crossover that leaked, but hasn't been revealed just yet. Playmates also has the license at least until the end of this year. It's unlikely that Mattel has anything ready as quickly as January 1st 2027 either. So there can still be Playmates theoretically released and on pegs for the beginning of 2027, just nothing after.

This was a pitch to Hasbro, right? What if this pitch was more so Hasbro could give the Joe license to Playmates like they did with Power Rangers? Like we all know Turtles of Grayskull was Mattel's pitch for the license. It's not like Hasbro does anything with the Joe IP.

I hate the kenner style, but there are a few lines I liked with Reaction. I like the Godzilla line, which works for 5 poa, and a handful of the TMNT reactions looked cool, but I agree tge o-ring figs are the way to go. They currently have:
G.I. Joe
Micronauts
Visionaries
TMNT
Universal Monsters
Back to the Future
Thundercats(not coming until 2027 most likely)
Invincible (just announced they have the license, unclear if o-ring yet)
They also discussed maybe redoing properties they already did, and discussed Big Trouble in Little China and They Live as ones they'd love to re-hit as O-ring.

it would not be a problem if TMNT had a "Rescue Bots" equivalent, to air for that demo, while another gets a mature, BTAS-esque TMNT show

I will never, as long as I live, understand the positivity toward Last Ronin
it's barely a ninja turtles story. there is ONE turtle. Unless most of it is flashbacks, I am failing to see how it could be any damn good.

it's so weird how brainwashed women were even back then. though henson, despite being so worldly himself, also had an issue with violence. like why? violence is fun.

Vintage GI Joe figures used a rubber o-ring to assemble the legs to the body. It's become a de facto-term to describe that style of figure assembly.

It's the new nostalgia trend, the Kenner style figures are falling off so this is where companies are heading. Then in another ten years we'll get Toy Biz style action figures of every property under the sun.

it's okay to have future hope though, now that ding-dong-the-playmates-exclusivity-deal-is-dead. even if mattel is pretty retarded, hopefully they leave everyone else alone. neca, super7, all of them can go back to their status quo. Everybody can have what they like. Now if we only had a little money.

I found Leo and Mike in the wild but can't find the other two to save my life.
Recently found a lot online that included Donnie but didn't realize till got them in person that they are a slightly different version. The ones I found in the wild have scar details and you can't see the pins in the shoulders. Which one is original and which is reissue?
Any idea where I can find these for a decent price ?
(I like the scar version)

Au Contraire, Mon Frere! I've watched this dork for years since he's usually the first to post footage from toy fair, sdcc, etc. He's a slobbering shill. And when it comes to NECA and Super7, he FAILS as a reporter, asks virtually NOTHING about anything revealed and just want to focus solely on TURDLES!!!
>Here we have THIS cool new line or THIS new line or THIS
>MUH TURDLESSSSS!!!!!!
He's a fucking embarrassment and a complete shill.
Also: GI Joe x TMNT: meh. Looks great, but I don't need them and probably don't want to devote space to them. TMNT x Godzilla though, I want more of those instead.

>Need 1/18 Turtle Van
I'd wager you could mock up one with the Playmates rerelease and just print up smaller chairs, since the original is a bit underscaled already. The rerelease TerrorDrome already works better with 3.75.

I hope Playmates has more to offer than GiJoe and some reissues. I wouldn't mind one last re-release of the vintage line since it'll be the last time we'll ever have them. Hell they could do translucent, glow in the dark, chrome who the fuck cares.
>>
>>11710344
What do you mean? Hasbro will just license it to Playmates like they do with Power Rangers. They already gave Joes to Super7 so why not? Playmates could make a good kids line while Hasbro keeps making Classified for collectors.
>>
>>
>>11710356
Hasbro is really stubborn about Joe. They love how its "the first action figure" and will go out of their way to push the line so its as huge as it was in the 80s. They hope.

The only part that had an internal frame was the hips, which was in a "Y" shape with ball pegs on he lower ends and the upper end (if I'm remembering right" had a ring that a peg slotted through from the front half of the torso to the back.
The rest of the articulation was done with simple swivels.

>'we are actually also he-man figures now'
That was the whole appeal, what would the TMNT look like as MotU guys. What would MotU guys look like as TMNT cast, it's what people loved about it: It's Skeletor TrapJaw and Merman as TMNT style designs, it's the Turtles and April as MotU designs. Same happen with Power Rangers cross over where the Power Rangers were mutated and the Turtles were Rangered. Even the Batman cross over understood this. But this? It's just TMNTs as TMNTs even the Joe cosplay is all but lost of on all of them but Shredder and Krang and they are just out right cosplaying. Worse still they have nothing people would want on the other side of this like Mutated Joes and Cobra figures. Again Turtles of Greyskull understood this so you got mutants of Ram man, He-man, Merman, etc.
>>11711004
The say is "First in, best dressed" if these cross over figures rolled out in say 2018 they be hailed as something good or original but this is the 18th TMNT cross over in the last six years, each one demands more originality to it beyond "look it's your two brands mixed together". Even the Naruto one put in more effort. So when you are rolling out A GIJoe Mikey that just looks like a generic sailor in an era where they are getting official gear and looks in other crossovers it just makes the fandoms uninterested to upset with the offerings.
It's clear why Playmates couldn't hold onto the brand.

>majority of this general believe mattel getting turtles will never
Why do you make shit up like this? Mattel was one of the only two companies that logically could afford the license. Hasbro or Mattel. And Mattel always seemed more likely because of how much they put into ToG and weren't burdened by Disney and other shit like Hasbro was. It was a coin toss regardless.
Use your fucking brain. The image was a fake, remember the retards claiming the thread was downed because of it? And then suddenly...it wasn't... Because he made it. It's a fake image. Not a single, fucking, person outside of this board has said anything about the image. It's the internet. If there was a leak...and there are always leaks...it would've been posted all over Twitter. Even if it got taken down, people would have been talking about it over and over and over.

I know what Playmates will reveal in a few hours:
>next 2 waves of TMNT x Godzilla which will be literally pic related designs, all of them
>rest of GIJoe crossover with new vehicles and a Foot Clan HISS Tank
>new 1987 figures
>final tales of tmnt figures
>power rangers crossover
They are ending it with a bang
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>11711132
Kids line around $10-$15 each like these new DC figures Mattel makes. I suppose if they start releasing new toys by april 2027 they will be generic 1987 figures. Does TMNT have generic evergreen designs for merch? Maybe we will see the "World of TMNT" branding on the toys Mattel will make with a small writing on each card saying Raph from "TMNT 2003" or so.
>>
>>11711132
>>11711136

>>
>>
>>11711004
They aren't for me, but I haven't hated on them. I don't think they look cooler than ToG, but to each their own. I do like the bad guys and might get CC Shredder and Slash. I might get Leo to fight them, but I hate Donnie and Mikey so I have no plans to get the whole team.

I thought they were losing the license because they weren't willing to pay the 200% price increase Viacom did on tmnt, spongebob and avatar licenses. So Mattel got it because they needed it (Barbie isn't doing as well as it did according to Bloomberg so thats a reason why they got Turtles) so they were willing to pay.

We got a better look at Mattel DC figures for kids, said to be around $10-$15 price range. I think this is how the TMNT figures for kids will look like packaging wise. Probably with World of TMNT branding all over it.

an unusual skin tone for generic '87/ style guide turtles. I think either they did bright green and then someone said "hey the turtles were darker in the cartoon" so they literally turned down the green,
or they got mixed up with the playmates "mirage" turtles.

what the fuck were they thinking here
>his name is Tiger Claw, a kinda badass martial artist name maybe

>also the box art gives him a proper hand
>also he has stripes on the INSIDE of his arms, and not even cool and jagged like on the box
>also big fucking thick-ass elephant feet with 3 claws poking out
Why the fuck didn't they hire good artists in 2012? there were so many, I saw them all over deviantart.

did they do a remake of pizzaface or are you being cheeky and talking about how it was okay with Playmates did it
because the original Pizzaface was not like, mutated genetically with bread and sauce and cheese. that makes no fucking sense. he was just a mutated human with his flesh melting off, who WAS a pizza chef, and used a pizza cutter and a pizza box as prosthetic limbs. that's still stupid, but it's FUN stupid.

Tourist here, are these decent quality? Pre-order is about $80 which seems high for a Chinese company? The sculptwork and paint look very detailed, never seen turtle figures like that.
>>
>>11712113
Chinese stuff is generally very brittle. Pretty much every line that is talked about here on /toy/ that comes from China has people frequently talking about shit breaking or coming off.
There's like two or three companies that have western-tier quality plastics and they're weirdly enough are the least shilled on this board (hiya and toy alliance).
>>
>>
>>11712203
there's obviously different standards, hence the much higher than usual reports of toys breaking.
The coom thread is full of people talking about their toys breaking and most of them act like it's no big deal, like it's almost expected.

Their press release to shareholders said that the licensor had decided not to renew, implying it wasn't Playmates decision.
>>
>>
>>11712253
you can search the word "glue" and see how often it appears for fixing Chinese toys.
>>11712356
i don't see how that statement excludes the licensor from choosing not renewing it because Playmates doesn't have as much money as Mattel does.
>>
>>
>>
>>11712356
Given that this is meant for shareholders, I think they're going to try to save face in how to word it. "The license agreement will not be renewed" sounds better than "we didn't want to pay their fee" or "we did something to anger them" or whatever other theories are going around. It might even just be that Mattel made them a better offer.
>>
>>11712399
i still think super shredder was just a goon he mutated ahead of time to fake his own death, but okay you have a point. it was pretty stupid back then too sometimes.
what was that one mutagen that like, glued 3 cows together?
>>
>>
>>11712414
They're not lying, they're just not specifying what went wrong. The statement just says they were in negotiations since October 2025 and were then informed that the license wouldn't be renewed. It doesn't provide any more details beyond that, so just going by the statement we have no idea what actually happened.
>>
>>11712400
>>11712414
>"The license agreement will not be renewed" sounds better than "we didn't want to pay their fee"
This literally means the same thing. It's not being renewed because they can't pay.
They couldn't negotiate a lower price.
Mattel outbid them.
Thus, Playmates being formally notified by the Licensor that the License Agreement will not be renewed upon expiry on 31 December 2026.
Or it could be a hundred million other reasons, but it likely has to do with the fact that Paramount/Viacom got sold out and the new parent company wants to get as much cash back by raising prices on everything. Thus, Mattel taking advantage of having more money than every toy company (that isn't Bandai, Hasbro and LEGO) put together.
>>
>>11712412
>what was that one mutagen that like, glued 3 cows together?
That was when a bunch of train tankers carrying chemicals that could be used to make mutagen derailed because Shredder was trying to hijack the train but Bebop and Rocksteady screwed up. They mixed together, making an imperfect mutagen and a bunch of cows in a nearby cattle terrain fused and mutated into one giant cow monster. It's one of my favorite episodes for how stupid it is.
>>
>>
>>11712456
Don't get me wrong, Playmates losing the license has put them in a shitty position. But they aren't even close to dying. They made an estimated HK$15 million loss in 2025, but their reported profit in 2024 and 2023 was HK$132 million and HK$636.7 million respectively. One bad year is nothing. They managed to weather the storm when Turtles was a completely dead franchise.
Hasbro has been making billion dollar losses for years now. When Playmates are reporting losses that are the equivalent to their previous years profits, for multiple years in a row, then you can start claiming they are dying.

I think I got all 4 of the reissues but damn raph looks off. Any veterans wanna chime in here for me?
>>
>>
>>
>>11712618
There's been some speculation for years now that playmates themselves were producing the TMNT 2012 bootlegs and thusly ruined the original moulds. So this latest batch of reissues looks really off compared to the first releases as a result. If you compare them side by side not only are the legs different but the heads are upscaled too. As for why Raph looks off it might be down to reusing Donnie's legs on his torso.
The OG releases of the 2012 turts were all respectively original moulds. Mikey was the most squat, Leo was the average height turtle, Raph was a bit shorter than him but still taller than Mike, and Donnie was two heads taller than the other three. These new releases look to be the same height and share the same limbs while using the distinct torsos and replica heads.
>>
>>
>>
>>11712690
yeah but the OG releases had toe-shaped toes, not broken pottery toes like these. these aren't the very first releases, they're one of the next releases.
I'd look it up, but I don't know the wave, and there's so fucking much to sift through

Not that Playmates has the time to figurize all these designs before their license runs out. Frankly, out of all the mismatched pairings, I'm still miffed we're not getting SpaceGodzilla Slash with crystal spikes.
