I guess I should've bought the FAG kit that was in the cloak's box instead of a random one I liked.

With the way her eyes look so different from Kuon's, is this the 'real' Maria? Looks like a great release though, really looking forward to her.
Curious about the accompanying lore too. Her weapon is completely different from Principal's, and if she could just assume her own Another form, then why does she also have Principal? Or maybe this is them merging.

Saw these little doll house like diorama kits while I was out the other day. Anyone tried using it for their girls? They look like they're a little too small, but not all of them seem in scale with each other, so I'm not quite sure. I've seen something similar done by some Japanese fans before.

I only recently got into girlpla, but just on the mecha side (Rosado's Starflower Lily, Nuke Matrix's Cyclone Hopper, and eventually the femFaiz from Yubo once the CQ-improved parts are in). This one's really tempting me, but with how many compatibility options there are for all of Koto's other shit, I'm kind of afraid to buy this one because then I'd be insanely tempted to buy those other kits to give her casual wear, formal wear, all that shit. And I'm already starting to fall down the rabbit hole with Cyclone Hopper since she wears actual cloth clothes at 1/12 scale and I need to at least get her some panties or undershorts so she isn't going full lewd with kick poses in her miniskirt...

Dude this thread was posted first. The other one was made by some ocd retard. The announcements are always a nice touch, but he didn't ned to create a duplicate when the new thread already exists.
We don't have this problem with the diecast general thread.

This thread is the dupe. You don't speak for more than one person, anon. Also clearly both threads are active which ruins the point of having a general. I guess I'll get to make the next general thread as long as I appeal to your short attention span.

I tried one right when they came out like, a year ago. They're perfectly nifty. Not sure whether I like them more than just the base kit with resin parts or not, but they're really cool nonetheless. I'd recommend at least getting ONE to experience the novelty of them.

I make the new thread in Gmail hours to days before I post it to at least put the minimum effort into keeping it updated.
Last thread had a lot of image dumping and the koto collection stuff getting shown off around the time I was preparing it, I finished it up... then fell asleep before posting.
I'll have the new thread up like usual when the other one gets around 350 posts. Again, sorry for being late, and I don't care that this thread is a dupe thread, just concider it an extension of the old one.
How many times has the board been clogged up with dupe Lego and transformer threads for actual malicious reasons.

It doesn't need the bloat. There are way too many random one off chinese figures popping up here and there that may just be vapor ware at the end of the day. It's also because the representation of the friends portion and the insuing arguments aren't worth the pain in the ass.
I am in the process of making a spreadsheet of bs/md/fag/30ms with shared colors of note, like skin colors, but also shared colors on armor between lines like the various koto girls sharing colors with hexagear kits. I'll probably replace the current skin and compatibility guide with it when done.

Poly threads were unfortunately some of the first casualties of the two week rule since they were so slow. The coomer general is probably a more appropriate place to ask though since this is more of a model kit thread.

The symmetry is definitely a difficult thing to achieve. I've been sculpting bits and bobs here and there for my little ladies for a few years now, and when it comes to the ass/hips/tits I only recently was able to get them symmetrical. I mean, sure, it's not like I was practicing frequently for all those years, but it still takes a while to nail it really well.
>>
>>11716859
The problems was only partially the 2 week time limit. The original OP didn't want to make the threads as often as he needed to. I took it up but even though I make other generals in the same time it didn't seem worth the effort when each thread would get 30 posts with 15 of them being mine and then the thread falls off the catalog.
Dabadi just moves too slow. Even the multiple recolors take forever to get out. It's hard to get excited when there's like 1 new figure and 4-5 recolors for the entire year and then they get delayed.
>>
>>11716631
You know I do another general here and I spend years keeping a maintaining an updated list of figures. I learned most of the time anons would ignore that shit and go right to asking when figures were releasing and where to get them. I stopped doing it and it made making the generals so much easier.
You know now that I think about it I took this thread over a few years back for about half a year or so when the last OP left and if you've been doing it for a few years you probably took it off my hands

>>11719925
Depends on how much you used. Varies between several hours to a day+. If you just applied barely enough to fill in some small gaps or seams, then just wait about 6 hours. Sprue goo has the problem where it will often feel hard to the touch, but below the surface it's still curing. It can also increasingly vary depending on what exactly you chose to melt it with, and the ratio you used, making waiting some extra time the always-wise decision. My go-to no matter what is 6 minimum.
>>
>>
>>
>>11720149
I wouldn't say there's literal techniques to memorize or anything, but a definite list of things you need to understand well. First was just making sure both sides had roughly equal material. Most beginners won't properly measure out the material so they'll end up with asymmetrical sides in terms of mass. This kind of fucks you over from the get-go in all sorts of ways. If you know what you're doing it can be mitigated, but it's the sort of thing that sets you up for failure, so it's best to just make sure both sides are working with the same amount of material to start with. Second was actually just mastering use of my sculpting tools. Pressure, the angle at which you push and pull with a given spatula, which spatulas are best for which shape, etc. Third is understanding the ins and outs of your materials. Different putty brands cure at different times, and most of them have ideal sculpting times as well. For Tamiya two-part epoxy, for example, you actually want to wait like, friggin 50 minutes before finalizing your shapes and details because it's TOO soft before that. So basically measure out your material, slap it on in its barebones base shape, let it cure for a bit depending on your chosen brand, then go to down on the details.

Does Megami Device ever do non human skin tones like titanium white? I was hoping to use a Machinika Block2-S body with a 30mm Acerby head to make a robotic kid character. I'm open to suggestions for alternatives.
>>
>>
>>11721101
If you want a Puni body, then your best bet in terms of not having your wallet get ass-raped is either suruga-ya during their free shipping periods (so like, three quarters of the month. Just make sure you search in Japanese even on their English site), or Amiami's pre-owned section.
>>11721179
MD doesn't really do that, no. With the larger bodies you can arrange things so that there's no flesh parts visible and the entire body is thus all non-flesh tones, but for the Puni bodies specifically there's currently no such thing. They're all currently mostly pure flesh tone with a couple of bits of clothing on top. There Megalomaria line recently showed off small robot bodies, so you could just hold off till those eventually go up for PO and then finally release (granted, with how their typical reveals, PO, and release schedules go they won't release for about a year). Otherwise painting is your only real option. The closest you could get via kitbashing (and actually maintaining proportions) would probably be one of the smaller 30MS and kitbashing off the flesh parts. Even that's not a good solution since the smallest 30MS is still bigger than Punis.

What shipping method did you choose, and what's the last status?
I once had an EMS package appear in my country after almost three weeks of apparently no movement.
And the last status is likely "dispatched from outward office of exchange", I'd presume. In which case it could either be still in Japan, or it could already be in your country but hasn't entered customs yet.
But if you chose surface mail, that's obviously no cause for concern at all. Unless maybe if you're in Australia and even that usually only takes a week or two.

I've build my knight now. Build was easy and he does feel good to play around with. The spear handle feels too thin for his hand tho. Makes me wonder if the fighter got tighter hands.

EMS, last time i used SAL some 16 years ago the package was lost so started using EMS and never took this long.
>and what's the last status?
"Dispatch from outward office of exchange" since February the 4th.

>We finally got some Cutie Honey stuff
>They are done up in such a generic modern girlpla style that it hard to even tell who the figures are supposed to be
She looks nice and all but I wish she actually looked a goddamned thing like Honey. The previous Cutie Honey had the same issue.

And I lacquered the last of the pre-painted runners for added wear-resistance; but
of course, it started to rain as I was doing so.

What am I getting into with this kit?
>>

Yeah, my intentions are giving her clothes (maybe even made by myself). Sorry for not specifying, I meant build quality and material used wise. At first glance she looks way too shiny even for skin parts, this would be my first plamatea and something I threw into the cart as an extra for the sake of it

That one's not vaporware. An anon posted his slightly busted box.
And I think the MFC thing is more because Chinese things weren't actually supposed to be on there in the first place, and though some Chinese-only kits/figures are added there, it's kind of arbitrary what non-Japanese things do get added or not.

Never ordered from HLJ before, was looking at a Megami Device kit on preorder but it says "The order deadline closed on 2025-11-12. Use Notify Me, and we’ll let you know when orders can be placed again." Yet I can still add it to me cart? I would guess that since I'm late it'll add me to the back of a queue?

I have the first one with her in a bunny suit. Fit and assembly wise it was fine, although they used a weird mix of matte and gloss plastic that I don't really understand what the logic was. Expect to paint in lots of those small details, the color separation wasn't great.

nta but their cancellation policies have worsened a lot. makes things awkward with backorders. bandai shit sells out within minutes and you never know if you get one until release. some anons have had issues with shipping, others not.
reality is, unless you're SEA or american, you don't have many options. amiami has the same problems with bandai and there's no alternative to such a long storage duration as with hlj.

>>11725694
Was planning on taking advantage of the private warehouse thing that HLJ offers, so I don't mind waiting a little longer for my kit, but I guess the question is if I even would get it at all. I'm up in Canada so my options aren't all that shit at least. Shame though, I was told I could backorder some gunpla kits I was looking forward to but I guess with their recent changes on their end I can't even do that.
