Indeed, it's part of why I find him so entertaining honestly. He even mentions trying to "work out" during multiple different events and also tries to change his speech and mannerisms so he'll seem more masculine in the hopes that people will start to "respect" him or treat him like an adult.
It just never works, because he has noodle arms (he attempts to carry boulders or some of the girls many different times, he always fails, and several times the girl just ended up carrying him instead), and he's literally filled with radiant shota energy that's so pure it nullifies evil curses banishes demons and keeps him looking young. Actually now that I'm thinking about it, half of the time the Master's in a sex scene when it's not just "this feels really good" "I love this girl" "this is amazing" etc, his dialogue isn't UAAAAAAH or AIEEEEE or something, it's just internal monologue or narration of his perspective about how he wants to use the opportunity to try and make the girl see him as more of a man and then him voicing that.
He'll only ever talk like that if he's consenting, but when he does consent he really does want to use it to look more manly in his partner's eyes and part of why I love Okyuu's BIG SEX scene so much is because it turns into patrician tier equal-dom where both him and her are trying to take the initiative and playfully tease and love the other and then they both wind up being the dom and sub at the same time.

It's unfortunate that we don't have a full battle dialouge for the Dimension Eroder kin. I got a few tidbits on the current monster species from them, and I found out that many of Hiruko's offspring didn't come from just one kin, but different ones. The Slime Kin says that the slugs come from the Tentacle Kin, while things like leeches and flatworms come from her. She also makes a point that cucumbers are not from DE stock.
Hiruko must have been doing a ton of science experiments on her free time, and many of these things escaped and started to adapt to the new environment.

I really like Hiruko but she's one of the most deep and complicated characters in the entirety of Part Three, she's more developed than anyone else in the MW/AW factions short of Alice I and the Iliases themselves, it's kind of a disservice to gloss over that. Kanon is the one I would describe as simple and bratty. I do think she's forthright, however, and her upfront and direct nature is part of how we get the elaboration on her madness and her bluntly questioning both of the goddesses on the truth behind her origin.
I would agree with you that Hiruko is very, very clearly his favorite of the ancestors though. But Hiruko is also the vast majority of people's favorite ancestor.

The reason I find so much humor in Hiruko's interactions is because while she is that deep, Hiruko's "i'm hungry' condition that causes her to go from 'introspective and conflicted' to Hangry-Induced Meat Fits and the subsequent savoring of every food for just giving her any reprieve from her pain also causes Hiruko to have what's best described as a worm in her brain constantly telling her to eat literally everything.

When you're taking Hiruko around the pocket castle, 95% of the time Hiruko's interaction boils down to the worm in her brain telling her to 'eat everything, eat literally everything, eat especially the person you're talking to' and Hiruko being, well, Hiruko (genetically hardwired to eat everything) can only barely resist doing that or she can't and it either cuts off before she makes the attempt or she gets distracted from eating one thing by being told to eat another thing. She also compares a lot of people to food. Hell Hiruko starts trying to eat Alice I if she's in sealed form and seriously ponders what it would be like to eat the ENTIRE pocket castle (the model itself) at one point while she's standing inside of it even though that'd kill her and everyone she cares about.

I guess the simple way to put it is "smart person with a mental condition that makes them act like a crazy retard", which in the main plot is used for dramatic effect, horror, and a good story, but in her side interactions is used for comedy because it makes her say and do a lot of funny things.

I thought about mentioning MMTD's SFW version myself actually, since I honestly feel like it'd qualify. That's generally how I prefer to play it anyways since I just think it usually winds up better. The non-main story scenes seem to have an intentionally dubious canon to them where they either get brought up again now and then or are ignored entirely like they didn't happen and I'm just assuming it's dependent on however well received they were. But there's definitely a lot of likable girls in the cast, honestly I enjoy the interactions with the main group a lot. There's some anons who are working on a way to make the dmm launcher version have a better and more effective translation tool, and I hope they're able to make it work because the character interactions really are one of the big highlights of the whole thing.

But in general, it really shouldn't be that difficult to just use monster girl designs for an ordinary fantasy race in any fantasy setting, like how many modern Isekai-ish works have a beast tribe full of kenomimi. But I wonder how many people would loose interest when most of those monsters couldn't care less about having sex with you and half of them are dudes.

It's not like sfw monster girl shows don't exist. There's that monster girl doctor anime and Interviews with Monster Girls, for example. There are plenty of shows with catgirls, foxgirls, and elves that people like despite male versions of them existing so I doubt monster girls would be any different.
