The main problem with them making Arator suddenly the main character and telling this particular story with him is this fucker has been around virtually since the start of WoW. He's been sitting on the sidelines doing nothing. But the implication is still that he was at least seeing and hearing all these major problems going on. Especially if he was hanging out with the Argents, which he was. He absolutely would've heard about what the Scarlets were doing with the Light.
So putting him in the spotlight and asking all these questions about his chosen profession now just makes him seem like a monumental retard and a manchild. There's a big fucking crisis happening right now, is NOW really the time to finally decide to question how people wield the Light?!

I've the itch to start WoW again.
Haven't played since Legion and before that I played a bit Cataclysm.
Once they released Classic I played Classic for like 4/5 months.
I don't want this to be a debate about Classic/Retail, as I want to hop into Retail this time.
Where do I start?
I guess I'm gonna start over fresh with a new character.
Do I jump directly into the newest expansion or can I catch up the old ones, like Shadowlands/Dragonflight?
Also I read that most of the AddOns are now incorporated into the game itself.
Are there AddOns which I definitely should get via CurseForge/etc.?
Is there something for like map completion/best route for questing, like TacO for GW2?

The new levelling experience is designed to be as fucking gay as possible, just do chromie time until you hit level 70 or whatever, dragonflight story wise is the most disney the game has ever been and is widely regarded as being fucking horrid. If you need to catch up there's a new experience where you stomp around the arathi highlands for a bit that I heard is pretty good if you want to give that a shot. Addons are kind of incorporated, and most combat addons have been phased out, but the blizzard replacements for these are fucking dogshit compared to their addon counterparts, as such, I still use addons like DBM to replace the shitty blizzard timeline since it's better and still has a bit of limited functionality for shit like countdowns. Questing routes are dead seeing as you have to do the campaign questline which is very linear, everything else is optional basically.

You can but it will be much quicker if you do them past level 80 because it disables the level scaling and you're able to destroy everything.

Oh, and addon-wise, you dont really need anything, but I like plumber and leatrix plus to customize some things, dialogueUI to make reading quests a bit easier (still not great) and handy notes + its subaddons for completionist stuff.
