Just do random essences, it's not that complicated. You only get 3 discounts a day, meaning even if you use the tickets you are still only getting a total of 40+40+40 = 120 sanity discount. It literally does not matter what you do.

Absolutely not. I haven't bothered levelling a single operator to 90, let alone skill masteries. I stop at lvl 8 + lvl9 skills. And I've cleared everything more than comfortably, including trimming for Umbral Monument. Levelling operators past that is a ordeal that just doesn't translate to anything worthwhile at the moment

The only things worth spending sanity on long term are essences, and to an extent the higher level upgrade mats from crisis drills. Those are the only things you cannot get passively for free from dijiang workrooms, the credit store, or the bp.
Only reason you would do otherwise is if you have a glut of characters you want to level right now and it's not realistic to wait e.g 2 months to acquire that many protohedrons from the credit store or something - that's a call you gotta make for yourself.

Since I already maxed out a Laev team, I've decided to build a Last Rite team since I do plan on rolling for the chuuni cat.

I'd THOUGHT that I'd searched the building it was in thoroughly, twice - but I'd plum forgotten that the only way into the top was via that crevice we went in during the quest that opened it. Since the door was (and is) sealed shut, I'd written it off the first two times as decorative and inaccessible, having done the quests weeks ago. And to add insult to injury, having actually been in the room again... I'm pretty sure I noticed this thing the first time around, but didn't pick it up at the time because, well, the room was supposedly filling with poison gas and I didn't want to break verisimilitude.
Well! This was a bear and a half to wrangle, but now I have all 300 files, and am fully prepared for the new update! Thankfully, future file searches promise to be a lot easier to manage...

Just mathing some math and the game seems pretty good for low spenders actually because of the dossier. Every limited banner comes with a $15 10 roll and you get 20 rolls for free. If you managed to get spooked around 50 rolls(not even that rare) then you are essentially paying $15 for 20 rolls.

BA is probably the best I've seen because they not only hand out rolls like candy but 90% of characters are standard and the broken limited characters twice a year give a double general rate up of 6% for a 3* meaning you can skip almost every character(except the the one random limited character between each bluefes) and get spooked by a ton of characters you skipped up to that point on your way to sparking.
f2p playing BA since launch easily have almost every single limited unless they were extremely unlucky.

They kind of do that in Wuling City, where if you pay attention to what the NPCs are doing, they all have their own private little dramas going on... Like the love confession in the pink room, the worried track stars, and the student dallying because "they never take attendance anyway" (on the one day they actually are).
It's nice how everything there has its own little logic to it...

Not worth it if you're wanting to start late. While it's incredibly easy to get the bluefes units as you play if you don't get them on the first banner then the only way to get them within the next 1.5-2 years is when they are thrown as a random spook during other bluefes banners and you can't spark them. I really think rossi having 2 vulns tied to her combo makes her pretty good for physical. People can cite lifeng all they want but his vulns are ult gated. I think everyone has realized by now that this isn't a game that lets you spam ults like genshin (at least with the currently available gear and roster). It's not a sustainable source of vuln for longer rotations beyond oneshot showcases.
The most important thing that determines strength now is being able to circumvent the SP and ult energy economy so characters with good combos are very valuable.

80 is generally good yeah, you'll want to be able to equip gold gear. As for skills it really depends, on Da Pan for example I have his combo at m3 and his battle skill at 1 since it's never used. Most operators have pretty obvious breakpoints if you take a look at their levelups, like how Pog really wants his skills at m1 for extra SP gain, but going beyond that is a waste.
I think better skill previews are getting added next patch so you can see more than just the next level, but for now just use https://warfarin.wiki/en.

China's 'Online Game Addiction Prevention System' was made law in 2007. But this law was pretty useless and 'replaced' with the 'Minors Internet Protection Ordinance'.
Korea's 'Youth Protection Revision Act' was made law in 2011.
Even before gacha games existed, shit like Maplestory, Lineage and a whole bunch of korean and chinese online games had stamina, timers, and 'allowed hours' in their games, some of which remained in the international versions of these games too.
Gacha stamina is both a way to cater to the already existing laws, as well as garner more sales from the whales. The same way a bunch of MMORPGs back then limited how many times you could get rewards from raids or dungeons per week/day, unless you paid for more chances.

Gil's ult basically has no uptime, so I don't see a reason for why that's bad. You just burst a char during it. It's also frankly speaking not the driving factor for a team like this.
Your team has the issue that you can't use Rossi well when you need the nature stack for Yvonne already. That ain't going to work.
The concept of Chendmin, Gil + Yvonne/Rossi is that you can combo really well (all 4 combos go at the same time), and either you'd get 2 stacks of vul + freeze OR 4 stacks of vul per rotation. It's fairly similar in power.
Then you have gathering (very useful vs. trash) with good aoe clear and a burst ult. But again, Rossi would really need to have solid heat damage in her kit.

So, an update for anyone that has been following / asking about the Vulkan mod engine, I got some bad news (at least for now).
We are currently about a month into the process of trying to build a Vulkan mod-loader, we still haven't managed to get any further in being able to extract any game assets; nor injecting them. However, before giving more details I think it's important to clarify the difference in how DX11 operates vs Vulkan on a game design level.
Using DX11, the game-engine talks to the GPU through a much higher-level system. A lot of things are handled automatically by the driver — memory allocation, resource state changes, synchronization, etc. That means textures, buffers, and shaders go through predictable API calls like CreateTexture, DrawIndexed, Present, etc. Because of that structure, it’s relatively straightforward to hook into those calls, intercept them, and manipulate or replace assets. That’s why DX11 injection and asset extraction has always been doable and subjectively easy to work with.
With Vulkan however, it’s the opposite approach. Vulkan operates on a much lower-level and gives full control to the game-engine instead of the driver. The engine manually manages GPU memory, manually records command buffers, manually handles synchronization, and explicitly controls when and how resources change states. There isn’t a single “central” place where everything passes through like DX11’s immediate context. Most of the work is pre-recorded and submitted in batches, which makes it far harder to intercept in a clean way.

It’s kind of like being able to see that a bunch of sealed shipping containers are being loaded onto a cargo ship - we can read the labels on the outside (size, type, usage flags, memory allocation, etc.), but we’re not allowed to open them at the moment to see exactly what’s inside or how the contents are arranged. So own main work is trying to find a time and place where no one is using or watching the containers; and taking that opportunity to open them and replace their contents.
With all that said, and desipte this starting to seem like an impossible task unless we start to decompile and try to reach the source-code of the game; we will continue trying to find a way to tie the buffer data together with the metadata.
The last issue, the nail in the coffin, is that Gryphline has basically bypassed Vulkans traditional patterns and recommended usages; building their own more optimal Vulkan pipeline / usage layer - which is why we see such a damn good performance when using Vulkan. Honestly; hats off to the game devs; they have made an amazing job in optimizing the Vulkan usage.
That's unfortunately it for now; but I will post more as soon as we get further - or have a breakthrough!

I like that the gear system doesn't feel 'solved' and that there are geniuenly different builds one can make with the same character, at least for now. The litmus test will be if 1.1's new gear can also be integrated in older characters' builds as well as the new characters.
