It's funny seeing old man Kaneko trying to make his own Kitasan Black, but unlike Kitasan who inherited only the positives of sundayman from Black Tide, also inherited good temper and durability from Bakushin. Meanwhile Kamunyak is just another Sundayling, good racing ability, bad temper, injury prone. The Bakushin did nothing on her.

That's what the /v/ in /vg/ and /vm/ stands for. Only difference is they know how to deal with their schizo/s and ignore them. Not to mention, they are currently in a place with an active moderation, and with enough reports, they can easily banish their problems. Their current general schizo is simply a hall monitor that meta the states of their thread, and is anti-/vg/, which causes a derailment, but isn't as hard as our schizo with his samefagging from multiple device, and is at least still sane.

Hey everybody, the next Pakacup will be the second leg of the Triple Tiara challenge, the Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks)!
This time the special rules will be as followed: 1) Training Scenario: Aoharu Hai 2) Support Deck: Any of the five Rental Decks + Riko Kashimoto SSR
You must continue raising your trainee from the previous Pakacup if you participated in it, otherwise for newcomers the rule is that you must roll a random mare in your possession to train for the gauntlet (use sites like an umawiki to hit random until you get a mare that you own).
The starting time of the race will also be moved to about a bit before the start of the Pakatube (I'm aiming for around the time when its pre-stream and they're just playing songs before the livestream starts)
>>566012414 My bad, I'm rushing to get ready for waging and saw it was early in the thread so I was kind of rushing to get the post out before it got lost in the sea of spam
In addition the same rules from the previous Pakacup generally apply as well. That means:
3) No evolved skills (pink skills), only gold skills. That also means no Stay Gold nor Rhein Kraft inherited evolutions. 4) Limit of one trainee per person. 5) You can train any version of the trainee that you have (i.e. Normal Rhein Kraft and Princess Rhein Kraft). If you brought one version in a previous cup you can switch to a different version in the next cup.
>>566021285 >the rule is that you must roll a random mare in your possession to train for the gauntlet (use sites like an umawiki to hit random until you get a mare that you own)
>>566021285 >>566021645 Welp took me 10 random stallions 2 unplayables (Heart and Desire) to a playable mare. Am I allowed to ticket her or is it strictly mares I already own?

>>566040751 Having the parents be the "antagonists" would be interesting, though by the end they'll probably be downright impatient to marry Croix off to (You).
More interaction with the uma's family is always welcome.
>>566061420 Maybe you should spent more time in your split instead of the 'cord. Who knows, maybe you'll be able to come up with something that isn't TBD.
how come Lani is the only nip horse (that I know of) to actually attempt the entire US triple crown instead of just slinking back home after jobbing the derby?
The institution is losing its meaning this way Unless you get a monster hors who stomps everyone else easily the derby winner will have fought tooth and nail to get that G1 win, and of course you can't just make it run with just a 2 weeks long rest after that But any debate about changing the schedule gets shot down, US racing is stilled, only the Breeders Cup is holding the prestige up, the classics are dead in the mud
>>566069150 how does it not, the unlikelihood of winning the derby already makes it not worth attempting the preakness on 2 weeks of rest, and if some US obsessed owner wanted to win belmont they would just have that as a one off trip instead of committing to the entire triple crown schedule
>>566075340 >only one US horse on average is strong enough to try the entire triple crown every year >before the ban, it's likely that Triple Crowns were on drugs Yeah, seems like the problem is in the schedule.

>>566085523 the NYRA is about to close the aqueduct here in 1.8 months to focus it all on belmont, i honestly wouldnt care if all horse racing in this state got forced to move out in the long term
>>566085048 Triple Crowns are supposed to be rare though. Before American Pharoah in 2015 the last triple crown was in 1978. USA has had 2 triple crown winners in the last 10 years. Of course, it's disappointing when the KD winners don't even attempt it, but I don't think people even considered Golden Tempo a potential triple crown winner prior to his KD win. His connections probably don't think they can do it and don't want to adjust their race plan just to try.
>>566086802 >NYRA invites fans to celebrate Closing Weekend at Aqueduct Racetrack with a unique array of festivities. All weekend long, fans are welcome to view an onsite installation presented by Henry Kornaros of Public Opinion, featuring iconic Aqueduct photographs. In addition, NYRA’s official track photographer, Adam Coglianese, will host a pop-up booth offering a collection of free photographs as souvenirs. >On Saturday, June 27, a Caribbean-themed party will include live music and a free rum tasting hosted by Mount Gay. >Closing Day on Sunday, June 28, will offer fans a special ‘Final Photo’ opportunity at the Big A. The first 1,000 fans through the door will receive a souvenir mini mason jar of dirt from the Big A main track. Sunday will also feature live entertainment throughout the day. That's really sweet. Hope some anons go there and take photos. >One of the track’s most memorable events came without a horse in sight. On October 6, 1995, Pope John Paul II said mass before 75,000, speaking from a 300-foot-wide papal platform in Aqueduct’s infield Heh. Now this is a true American racecourse. Even in its dinal announcement, it still finds a way to focus on the ningen instead of the hors.
>>566087454 >Before American Pharoah in 2015 the last triple crown was in 1978 You are but a mere child. We'll probably never see another English Triple Crown winner again in our lifetime.
https://www.drf.com/news/t-o-elvis-point-breeders-cup-sprint-new-york-prep-possible Nice. If he wins BC Sprint, would that give him Eclipse best sprinter? >T O Elvis, who left Churchill Downs on Sunday morning to head to Chicago before flying back home to Japan, was originally slated to run in a race at the Royal Ascot meeting, said Yuto Kumagai, who works with the connections of T O Elvis, including trainer Daisuke Takayanagi. ...why?
>>566088171 That's super cars' dad. But I was trying to illustrate that triple crowns are rare and the short timeframe in which American Pharoah and Justify achieved it skewed peoples perception. In Japan on average a triple crown horse appears roughly every 10 years. Japan has been pumping out triple tiara and double tiara's though
>>566090012 I see people started to talk about changing the dates of the US triple crown races and space them out more so more attempt it, but personally I think that devalues the triple crown somewhat since the horses prior were able to do it, why should modern horses have an easier time achieving it?
I hope we all don't believe horses today aren't taking substances. When one get's banned people will circumvent it with a different compound. There's too much money in this business not to do it.
>>566090917 >https://x.com/DCHI23/status/2052136968180383786 >Another fact that people don’t want to hear is that before the lasix ban in Stakes races the avg number of horses running in all 3 Triple Crown races was between 5-6 a year, after the ban in 2021 the avg is 1 Journalism was notable for getting 1st in the Preakness but coming 2nd in the KD and Belmont to Sovereignty. Was he really the only horse that ran all 3 legs of the Triple Crown last year?
>>566094172 I mean yeah but as a person who 's permanently stuck bouncing between Class 5 and 6 this is probably the best time to just spend it all since there's really no other use for it right
>My favorites Nijigasaki artist has to whore himself out to Uma Unlike Uma where the only way is up, things are really tough out there for the lesser franchises
>the guy was asking vtumorfags for help instead of his own general No wonder he failed >>566072146 Spe's old and busted, and /uma/ can still become a team next season, so we might as well keep being /umaJP/.
>>566114108 This is the same guy who got schooled in previous VGLs and ragequit leaving us stranded before the current manager took the monkey off our back. Seems like he still can’t do shit.
>>566114378 I know you guys don't like the previous manager but I don't think that's him. The old manager at least cares about the team still, this guy straight up hates JP and me especially.
>>566079991 As entertaining as the derby was, Golden Tempo wasn't really triple crown material. If it was gonna be any from this batch, it would have been Renegade. He drew the unluckiest post, got smashed inside and almost hit the railing, yet still got a close second in the end.
>>566090520 Why would it be easier Winning ONE (1)(UNO)(一) Classic G1 Is already monumental, winning three in a row makes you a monster regardless Otherwise you are undermining the Jp classic triple crown with its large schedule
>>566125525 A packed schedule is far more challenging especially when they have to face fresh challengers that skipped races. The JP TC is easier and that's fine.
Anyway do the US TC even matter at this point ? American Pharoah was famous but it had no lasting effect over the decline of horseracing and Justify is forgettable Only an official Secreteriat uma design can move things at this point
>>566125883 >American Pharoah was famous but it had no lasting effect over the decline of horseracing and Justify is forgettable This is a dumb question, but did the racing organizers in the US even promote American Misspelling and Justify's triple crown achievement? In Japan, Phonehead and Ojou made front page of normalfag news and was promoted everywhere when they won their triple crown/tiara.
>>566126036 Let's debate then If it's more entertaining for the sport then the trainers refusing to participate in it means that they don't care about it, simple as that
>>566127021 Brits do not care about stayers anymore. The Yoshidas saying that long races decrease stud value is the sentiment brits have for a long time now. And that has nothing to do with compressing the schedule of the UK/JP triple crown to be the same as the US triple crown. Sundayman was completely exhausted after Preakness. Belmont would have been a different race altogether if he was given the long break between the JP Derby and JP St. Leger.
>>566129753 We shouldn't write off burger keiba just because of a few bad apples like B*ffert, and burger keiba as a whole is still arguably better than the Aussies'.
>>566129585 The last TC winner was from the 70s so many people were hoping for another triple crown for a long time. He got the unlucky post 1 in the Preakness with no horse winning from there since the 90s, yet he still won dominantly by 7L without a whip. So a lot of people were eagerly tuning in hoping he will be the next triple crown during Belmont.
I find it interesting how the Brits made sure there could never be a Tacto/Contrail situation there, since St. Leger is the final leg for both Triple Crown and Fillies Triple Crown
>>566131518 I didn't know that. That's pretty cool, so the St.Leger is where the best colts and the best fillies duke it out to see who's the best hors of that gen.
>>566125525 So you don’t think getting less time to rest makes winning a TC harder? My statement isn’t so much comparing Japanese TC against American TC, it’s current horses against legendary horses of the past. Japans TC is stretched further over the years, but historically all the Japanese horses have run the classic in the same timeframe. So you could say someone like Contrail achieved what Deep Impact has achieved regarding TC. If you were to change the schedule in America it devalues the previous winners if let’s say Golden Tempo wins the TC this year, but it follows the same timeframe as JP can you really say that he achieved what Secretariat has achieved in the classics?
>>566138508 nta but didn't the American TC change distances for Belmont and Preakness a bunch of times? Wouldn't that mean that various TCs throughout history are not equal already?
>>566129753 You don’t have to join the discussion when mutt keiba is being discussed but mutt keiba is undoubtedly a top 2 keiba country. That makes keiba fans obviously monitor the situation over there (I just follow the big races though). Not to mention the potential of mutt horses being sires of future Japanese horses
>>566138906 I do think it affects the TC yes. Although Preakness has had the same distance since 1925, the mutts don’t know what they want to do with Belmonts distance. I thought the distance changed because they were renovating Belmont park so it was ran on a different distance at Saratoga, but they were adjusting it quite a bit even prior to that. Remember that people value phoneheads TC as not equal because he ran during Covid so he ran without a crowd. It depends on how nitpicky you are.
>>566144602 No way are older mares as fast as modern mares. Unless you meant literally stronger like in terms of toughness and stamina, then yeah, older thoroughbreds are a different breed entirely.
Henlo senpaitachi. Sorry to bring this topic here but any idea why the /uma/ divegrass team got sent to the void? Was even looking forward to it and hoping both teams would get matched. I don't think our place knows the answer since our "manager?" barely gave us updates or did the wrong times when the threads were a total mess totally burying his post.
>>566154952 I don't know about how divegrass are organized either, but it seems like someone already asked this at /4ccg/. >>566060650 >Generally, 50% negative responses have kind of been looked at as something we shouldn't allow, but there are several factors involved in a lot of these sign-ups that make us take time to evaluate. So that on top of /umaGL/ being seen as something coerced by the VGLcord general chat (that guy would not have attempted otherwise and he has told me as such) made us tell them no for now. If they have someone else lead the charge and drum up interest for 27 it's a different story. No idea what the 50% negative responses was, but maybe it was a poll or something over at your thread?
>>566154952 He didn't even tell you? The replies to POI were evenly split, and most teams with 50% negative replies wouldn't be allowed. But since you're a new team with some interest the organizers were considering letting you in, but unfortunately your manager is actually an offsiter retard that doesn't know how these things work, not to mention that he got coerced into this role by discordfags. So yeah, blame the manager and if you really want to play, find someone better(or become a manager yourself). You won't be able to play in this VGL, but if someone steps up you can play in the invitationals and VGL27 in winter. >>566156470 Managers need to prove to the organizers that the thread is interested by making a post to collect replies from the thread. That's why every season I ask you guys if you want the team to play, even if I know that you do.
>>566156372 I do wonder what are the rules so if someone interested in the threads steps up (if ever) or redirect them where to ask for guidance. >>566156470 I think I remember his post that time, and it was kind of split. Although, it also didn't help he posted it during a really bad time when our bad actors are running rampant or the thread was busy melting down. >>566156898 Don't really have a strong opinion about copy or split teams, but thought it would be fun seeing /uma/ and /umaJP/ get matched at least once for a complete umamusume match. >>566157510 Noppers. All I remember was he first posted a team roster survey months ago. Then days ago he posted a survery for kits/goalhorns/chants, but the thread was horrible that at that time and his post mostly got ignored, tried again a second time and got at least some proper answers. Thought we were already in since he's already planning for kits.

That said I’m glad I’ll be able to see him in the Derby still and will be rooting for him
>>566367046 Derby top 8 / guaranteed entry: >Lovcen (World Premiere) >Realize Sirius (Poetic Flare) >Reichsadler (Siskin) >Ask Edinburgh (Leontes) >Forte Angelo (Fierement) >Going to Sky (Contrail) >Tidal Lock (Maurice) >Meisho Hachiko (Roger Barows) All by different sires and Maurice is the only one within top 10 sires this year
>>566366705 hopefully sugiyama and matsuyama should finally let lovcen go naturally nige, his damsire's shtick. his starts are consistently amazing, even from debut.
>Flightline's kids >Kitasan x Ai filly Any other horse that might be interesting to watch? >>566386516 >G1s winner >Nah, he sucks. Clearly his horse carried him Huh, feels like a deja vu
>>566386757 >Any other horse that might be interesting to watch? Kita x Normcore Kita x Marche Another Nox's full sis Epi x Lala Saturnalia x Chrono Donna's last spawn by Epi
>>566380347 Netkeiba hates kitamura’s guts so that’s nothing new. Bereshit is simply more difficult to ride because of his temperament, it’s just how it is since his dad is Epi. They always want to switch him to some foreign jockey but they have never been able to really deal with those types of horses well, especially with short term licenses in mind
>>566446295 He also jobbed in satsuki with Lane. With all respect to Nishimura, he's a step down from the "top" nip jockeys. Would be nice if he proves the public wrong though
>>566446295 Mmm. I want to say that Cavallerizo got this just from how strong he is alone, but he's still young and a good jockey is really important for young hors...
>>566455095 Funny that the Goldspawns sang that in the live to reveal Stay Gold but it's not in the game. Also Groove and her kids need vocal tracks for that song too now.
>>566455659 >Funny that the Goldspawns sang that in the live to reveal Stay Gold That was such a kino way to reveal Stay Gold. I hope we get something that good in the 7th live.
>>566456051 Depends. If you mostly train sashi then Digitan, if you mostly train nige then Tappu is a must. Personally, I think there's already way too many meta sashi card, so I'm leaning towards Tappu.
>open Twitter to find cute hors pics >Oh look, a one-eyed Aussie hors. I wonder what's the story >The hors had recurrent cancer, one of his eyes got removed, and then he died[ I just opened Twitter ffs
>>566456051 I'm in this same predicament except I have +1 on both cards. Have enough dust to get Tap to 4* but hate nige. Can get Digitan to 3* and the card is shit until 4.
Eishin Flash trending and it's crowdy as hell not even Symboli Rudolf managed to pull this crowd during his return, I hope Flash doesn't freak out. https://x.com/i/status/2053278120304885762
>>566460992 There are more people hanging around the rose garden stable than there are actually watching the races. He actually panicked a bit before they let him out, but his groom seem to have calmed him down with a brushing session.
>>566467087 Oh that. Niigata's famous for its 1,000m straight line sprint. At other racecourses, hors have to get close to the inner rail to avoid running the extra distance while turning corner, but that isn't a problem with the straight sprint so the horss in the gates closer to the stands will just run close to the stands.
>>566467912 It's going to be World Cup season so that illustration is football related. They gave up the theming and horses that participated in the particular G1 like years ago.
>>566467912 Last year were movie posters This year theme is daily lives in their irl counterpart respective era 90's Uma poster is in 3:4 While 2000's+ Uma poster is in 16:9 like picrel But still based on her jersey, why is El Condor Pasa playing for France instead of Japan?
>Almost went back without a winning run >The fans started yelling WINNING RUN, WINNING RUN at him >"Wait, what?" >Result confirmed >Had to run back across the dirt again yo do a winning run >Stared at the fans the entire time during his winning run Cute little retard. Another victory for the House of Spe.
>>566480718 Looking only at their 3yo season He's much more promising than Regal at the time, but Regal bounced back nicely now I'd evaluate them pretty close
