For the most part, Cores > Level 60 for meaningful progression clearing Extermination/SpecOps/TacTraining. For most of the week, if no Extermination Mode bonuses or daily, I'll just use energy to run story challenge stages for leveling fodder / getting shards. On EM bonus days, energy is spent running those for progressing the research tables like you mentioned.
Progression was a lot of parallel farming. "I want to beat Disaster of Karma (Expert), so if I put up a team of [Damage dealer], Shiranui, Aoi, Oni Twins, what causes them to fail? HP? Okay I'll craft some better Slot 2/5 Cores for them. Aoi is still kinda fragile at 40/40? I'll work on getting her to 50/50." Did that until I had a setup that cleared the goal, then moved onto Cursed Tree, Scylla, Tentaculina, etc etc until they were all achieved. Then when I had research done to the point of needing Expert level challenge stones, advanced to what was needed there.
At this stage, the resource farming goes into the researches, while the character farming goes into shit like "Hey, I like running bulk teams to contest the meta of fast, explosive nukes. I'll raise units like that until we find out how units interact with Events."

I can confirm that the escalating dmg modifier in the Arena doesn't enhance Poison or Burn tics. Bleed would continue to gain value as the fight went on, though, as the base hit would be getting larger.
Protective Shield is actually a response to DoTs, as the no-sells from hitting a Protective Shield reads as an Evade/Miss, which doesn't give most on-hit infliction rolls their activation. This applies to all debuffs, too, though notably if a debuff already exists on a target who gains P.Shield, a 'Miss' due to the P.Shield with a Debuff Extend component will still extend the Debuff.

You can't auto to stop S2 and S3 on turns 1+2, without disabling them entirely, but you can consider ordering things like Mirabelle's S2 first so it comes back up on turn 4... so she goes 2 3 1 2, rather than 3 2 1 1. And since it's more likely to get 2 uses, I'd prioritize it a bit higher, as an example. So I like 3 turn CDs as a focus, if there aren't other factors like you say.

i think the leotard ends up in some sort of coochie armor/plate(at first i thought it was some sort of sticker), leaving her backdoor extremely defenseless ,exposed and always ready in case i get hungry
So is the game still gonna get EOS’d or nah? Ask me, both AT and Squad just need a little upgrade from the old system, I played Kaitan Arena (?? I think it was called?) way back before RPGX even came out, it died because they were shipping RPGX and due to lack of innovation, if you ask me. With that in mind, the inventory management of squad, particularly the modules and upgrading/equipment (from last time I played, mid April I believe?) felt like absolute garbage. Theres a lot of unnecessary nuance there, especially with two already existing games with much better mechanics. Feels lossy. I never got the chance to play that other Taimanin game that got axed but I can only assume it had problems as well
