This feels like what the second flashback was pushing the player towards concluding, but at this point it just feels like it's too obvious for how long they've been holding on to it. It also just feels a little weird with what we know of SKK's childhood now and how young he probably is.
Marian is the safe and easy answer here, but part of me wants it to be something spicy like Syuen.

Red Hood is the Bardock of Nikke.
That first story, Chapter 25 and 26? Bardock - Father of Goku? That was some good shit. Really liked it, really effective story.
Everything else involving the characters after those first chapters/special? I could live without it, most of it honestly makes the character worse if I'm being completely real. I'm not going to say Red Ash is as bad as Episode of Bardock, I think that would be a very unreasonably thing to say, but I do think it's probably the most overrated event.

Honestly Nihilister has already done most of the Vegeta arc:

That said I don't think Crystal Namek ever gets as bad as its reputation would suggest. The real shit show is the Levi Chase Arc and subsequent Rape + OO Fight. If the Ark Invasion didn't exist that'd probably be the uncontested lowest point of the story.

Crow, meanwhile, hurts literally everyone around her for her own amusement while hiding behind fake revolutionary rhetoric. I could totally see Yoyo being fixed if someone actually forced her and Anis to sit down and talk like normal people instead of instantly escalating into emotional screaming matches every time they meet. Has there been much discussion regarding the way Nikke are assigned ids in the game files? I know a number of cut/altered designs have been leaked, but I've been looking at a list of Nikke by internal id and I noticed something interesting.
The way the characters are sorted are as follows:
XXY, where XX is a two digit category/squad identifier and Y represents an individual within that group. For example, Rapi is listed as 010 (01 = Counters, 0 is Rapi's "slot")
Specifically, all the "Counter" members have the following values:

015: Anis: Sparkling Summer

Yoyo is both realistic, grounded form of antagonist that is more instantly legible than terrorists, crime lords, or human traffickers we already have access to but she's also extremely bad at being a villain. Her motives, which SU hasn't explicitly laid out yet but are implied are that she has cripplingly low self-image and defines herself solely based off the attention, both positive and negative, she gets from others. Yoyo needs to be noticed and validated otherwise she completely collapses. She's still a villain who has done bad things but she's in a position where the actual scope of her evil is compatively tiny. Petty mean girl shit barely even registers in-universe. Yoyo actually getting her shit pushed in helps with the redemption angle because it gives her meaningful punishment and doesn't plot armor her out of consequences. We see her get dropped by Tetra despite Mustang initially supporting her plan to fuck with Anis, we see her at her absolute lowest where nobody is supporting her and the only interaction she gets with the outside world is through idol forum sockpuppets she makes herself, and we see Anisunderstandably, but it's still the wrong thing to do and just validates Yoyo's own actions through tit-for-tat escalationturn Yoyo to mush. So she goes from one note antagonist to somebody that was thrown under the bus by both Mustang and Hanson from a feud she had little actual control over. Yoyo love

I think they blew their load on the high stakes drama and peak power level stuff in the Cell saga. Like after that you can only do so much to top that without just repeating the same thing again, and coming off as non-innovative, unexciting, or predictable. It was okay. I'm tired of the Idol stuff in the side story, campaign and now the anni. It feels like they pull out all the stops but each anni always feels underwhelming and less exciting than the last. I don't mean they are bad by any means but it feels like diminishing returns or something. This shit 99% taking place in the past while the event is happening NOW is a mystifying decision and feels like a letdown in that case.
Neon looks really cool and Anis is powerful. I skipped every single costume pass like the last couple annis so I'm not going to cope how good or bad things are justify my purchase or skip. I think the minigame being vertical is an awful choice for newer, thinner and slimmer phones with tiny screen bezels. I like Yoyo a lot. She kind of stole the show for me.

I really enjoyed the music, the minigame, and all that stuff.
I don't have an opinion on Idol stuff, and I don't like the Shonen stuff the game normally does so it was a nice break.
But I do think they have a hard time pushing the games story forward. I like the two week events because it turns out that about 12 episodes is enough for the stories they tend to tell. When they make bigger stories they're weird, lump, kind of inconsistent.

I liked it, I think they delivered on what was expected plus more. The Hanson/Mustang past was not something I anticipated before the side story, and it was a welcome addition to Anis's character arc. They finished it off nicely in this event, so we now know our current Mustang really is just wearing a "mask" all along but has his reasons for doing so. The T.T. Star album was nice too, for me its one of those songs where once you listen to it a second or third time you really start to like it or certain parts of it. I like the 3D animation of the two songs, but the 2D animation of Be my Star wasn't really great in my opinion.
I suck at rhythm games. That shit was too hardcore for me, I can only do up to normal and not well. I kinda enjoyed playing some though, like Clickbait, because the beat really works well with the keys.

I rate story/events, music, and character development in Nikke higher than all that other crap. Especially the Hoyoverse stuff. Visuals and designs is either match, better, or worse, depending on what you are comparing. Animation and environment you can't really compare because the styles of the games are not all the same. You just have to judge them in their own realm, like "is this good for what it is" type of thing. Like for Nikke, In my opinion I think the 2D art and live 2D and general implementation is good for the most part. The anime cutscenes are good these days, it was a little rough in the early years.

It was one of the dev interviews right after the 1st collab. Kim was honestly pretty brazen. There wasn't the usual asian tip toeing and "read between the lines". He blamed them for rejecting his initial hornier designs. I think it was the same one where he subtly apologized for the 2nd Eva collab that hadn't been announced yet because he talks about how due to how long contracting deals take, everything was set in stone more than a year in advance and for players to bear with them. There was also one of the Shift Up shareholder reports where they say that Eva was a disappointment in earnings. You basically never see that level of shit talking or throwing under the bus from asian companies, so they must have HATED working with Khara.

They've said that collab tourists stick around. They would have the metrics to track that, so unless they're flat out lying, it makes sense why they keep doing them. Collabs realistically probably don't make much money, but expanding the player base is something you just have to do as a public company with endless pressure from investors to pursue infinite growth. The problem isn't even necessarily that they do collabs. It's that they pick shitty ones and do a bad job with them. There was a point in time when people were actually excited at the prospect of collabs. Back during year one we were legitimately hyped for Nier. It was only after that, that the long succession of increasingly awful collabs poisoned any goodwill towards them.
