And then they stopped being doable after ultimate battles were introduced which was BEFORE the Gladion one I said was impossible to F2P. Which I said the balance was out of whack by then. Tierno (Champion) is going to happen before Lucas (Champion) at this rate. Hell, maybe they'd do Dawn (Champion) and Barry (Champion) since they're both from Twinleaf Town and this Lucas isn't. But I wouldn't be surprised if they're holding off on Sinnoh to tie it to the Arceus stuff, and Unova getting a THIRD Neo Champion event shows that they're just filling out all the protagonists and rivals. Before it had plausible deniability, like "Here's B2W2 and here's BW", but then Hilbert and Hilda destroyed that notion. So of course we're going to get Victor (Champion) and Gloria (Champion). Silver was the only Johto Neo Champion, and everyone was expecting more covering the protagonists. Chase (Champion) and Elaine (Champion) are happening for the next Kanto one. Trace hasn't be introduced yet, but he'll be soon enough and he'll probably be the focus of the third Kanto event. Wally will get something for sure. And do you really believe we aren't going to see N (Champion)? It'll be a story with Hugh to reference their meeting in the villain event, capping off all the Unova protagonists and rivals. Hau (Champion), Gladion (Champion), and Lillie (Champion) are a given. We still don't have a Paldea Neo Champion yet, so of course we Florian (Champion), Juliana (Champion), and all the friends/rivals. That's exactly what he's there for. Dumping tons of ET on to the field to supplement either one of the two (2) EX setter's who don't have a lot of options to extend it themselves.

This event made me realize that the legendary beasts are the most contemporary legendaries ever not counting Mewtwo (and Miraidon). They were only born approximately 150 years before the current era. Even most sublegends are considered in the multiple hundreds if not thousands of years old.

Last week of CS lasts until July 5th.
I think summer seasonals start around the middle of the month like seasonals usually do.
So enjoy Arc Suit Erika or some shit or Katy and Watson, I have no clue what they could give to Brandon or Spenser or surprise more Hisui or Ghetsis alt etc.
But they could always pull a themed Summer pair as Special Costume or EX Fair like they did with Ball Guy followed by a standard seasonal event where ot joins the seasonal featured pair, just speculation.
I want to see Summer Lance to complete the classic champions summer seasonals or Alder.
I am sure it's not hard to drop unrelated to summer events either, and some types like Normal are also tricky, Summer is such a versatile season when it comes to sync pairs, can be beach, music/contest, festivals, sports, camping themed, anything goes really.
Maybe they'll finally start releasing the villain admins with Dark typed Sharpedo.

I don't think the super sparring is a good mark of the next datamine seeing as all the types used correspond to a unit running this month (Sabi, Hassel rerun, Ethan). I think judging by the HSE types the first summer unit will be grass type and later on they'll release a 1% water support that powercreeps Kris the same way Kieran, Ethan, and Lyra were released to supplant the KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO neo champions.

Annoyed that the special costumes expire as Lyra comes online, I would have wanted to roll one if I got lucky with Lyra.
