FortySixtyFour here, I'm a small time harem lit author adapting my AnimeCon series into a visual novel. Will be convention culture and harem focus with hand drawn 2d illustrations, and animations, painted backdrops, no AI. Used to post progress on /weg2d/ years back, never pulled the trigger on putting out a first release. Just have been building up assets over time so that once I do release, I'll be able to release regularly and always stay ahead. Started with a $1k/month budget and have upped that to $3k/month since hiring an animator. All of that is Patreon income from readers of the book series being adapted, so it's reasonably stable.
My question to you all is: What is the ideal content to release schedule for you guys? An hour of content every three months? The big games with more supporters seem to be able to do three hours of content every six months and that works okayish. How much spicy scene content should each release have? For 2D games, how many spicy animations should constitute a sex scene? I want to say it should be a minimum of three different animations or positions to constitute a satisfying scene, but also... animation takes a long time and is expensive as fuck.

>>9188091 I've done a few playthroughs up to ep11 end and I think the only way to reliably get an S in the Xmas party is to pick two of the +score perks before you plan it. Personally, I always do the DIK party one that gives bonus points on events (after the halloween party) first and then Multiplier madness one (after the thanksgiving party). With those two, you get it every time, unless you get something serisouly wrong in the planning. I think the most min-max strategy is probably the beer one, then DIK party, then multiplier madness, then whatever else for next episode.

It's best to start with a speaker and none of the cheapest items (beer and snacks) for the free items for first party, import your save and skip to it if you don't hit that. Then you can get 2 speakers for the first party without spending any money.

I usually don't like cheesing the minigames, but DPC really should've let everyone choose the first 3 items there, and it's kinda warranted in that spot since it can somewhat gimp you later. I think you can just load from the end of the interlude btw, it does the random roll for free items right before the ep9 intro, or at least it did the last time I played, so you can avoid all the Zoey stuff if you're just rerolling the items.
