I really hope that AI keeps continuing to accelerate, the moment it slows down too much ill have to kill myself. The prospect of having to live with an ugly body is nightmarish. At least 50 years ago i couldve coped a little bit better. Its disproportionate, I dislike the subject matter.
A lot of sloppy mistakes, like using the fill tool to color and not double checking that it actually performed the action correctly. The lighting is also extremely sloppy
I do like your colour choice, aside from that not a fan.
Try flipping your image as you work on it and focus on getting forms to be consistent and not lopsided before getting too lost in the details.
Your mouths also look weirdly symbol-like as opposed to being 3d objects. Unless your going for that I guess thats fine.

All of my old friends and coworkers have started families or have wives and gfs that take up all thier time.

I made this drawing using a rather blunt Dixon Ticonderoga 2 BH pencil on a leaf of bright white inkjet paper, and then I scanned it and saved it as a pdf, copied it into Paint and finally saved it as is. I drew the subject from imagination, so I really didn't have any plan for details like the hair and shadows, all I was interested in was making sure that the form of the head tilted back was right and that the proportions were adequate.

All this talk about age really gets me down. I’m 23, I don’t have a girlfriend, and I’m working a minimum-wage job with no real prospects other than my computer science degree. I don’t see myself getting a girlfriend anytime soon. I don’t meet new people, I don’t have a big friend group, and I don’t know how to approach people I don’t already know unless it’s in a setting like a class where we’re basically forced to interact.

I can already picture myself in my 30s, stuck in the same place. The only thing that has improved is my art, but now AI is so advanced that it feels pointless to even try. Sometimes I catch myself scrolling on Tinder, hoping to find someone desperate enough to date me.

Meanwhile, my friends seem to be moving forward. One already has a decent job as an electrician, so in the future he will have a really good pay, and the other is studying to become a historian, so in his 30s, he’ll actually be a historian. And I feel like I’ll just be there, going out with someone I’m not even truly attracted to, just trying to “score” something so I don’t feel completely left behind.

It feels like my life is slipping away in front of me, and I’m too awkward and lost to change anything about it.

I was in a similar place a few years ago, but realized that if I actually needed a relationship, I wouldn't behave the way I do. If I actually needed to find a girlfriend, I'd have gone out meeting people, no matter how uncomfortable I would have felt. Maybe ask yourself if wanting a gf is actually something you need, or just something you think you should have due to it being the norm.

Funnily, not long after realizing this, I actually did find a girlfriend for a few months. Broke it off because we didn't have as much in common as I first thought, and knowing I could be happy single made it much easier to not let it fester.
