Beretta's new model. All new 94X frame. It's longer to fit a larger 20 round mag flush fit.

This is probably the least gay thing they've released in a while and it's still fucking awful. Finally the launch edition doesn't look like shit though, I like the DLC and neon colors. It's just that now there is a new longer mag body to work in these, shit frame safety, an improved but probably still not ideal optic cut all for the low low price of $2000 or some shit.

>>65204276
It really doesn't.

Nigger. And that's coming from a collector. Saw the video, it's mega gay and you won't buy it anyways.
>>
>>65204284
>straight trigger guard
>slanted slide serrations
>reprofiled safety where it's flush with the grip at the rear and the wings are farther forward
>3mm lower optic cut = ~.12 inches shorter which off the top of my head puts it close to the LTT cut if not the same
>fixed irons not attached to the optic plate.
now that you mention it the longer grip will make all my current mags not compatible but if it's compatible with the mecgar 21 rounders with a different baseplate then that's fine
>>
>>65204305
The trigger guard is the best part for sure. The safety is still a regression from the slide safety imo. For the mecgar 21 rounders, isn't it a 18 round mag body with a +3 extension? They state these are flush 20 round magazines so I imagine the dimensions are just slightly longer.

Idk this feels like kinda a min effort release and it's no doubt going to be expensive. Why not bring these improvements to all the other 92s? Why not do more? Where PX4?
>>
>>65204313
MecGar makes a full extended tube with no extension that can break, never mind it seems they only make that for the PX4 right now or 26/30 rounds for the 92. Strange, I thought I saw a green mag follower 92 mag with 20/21 rounds with a longer tube

The 94 is a completely new frame and probably made in Italy, while 92s are still coming from MD and TN in the U.S. I would not call an all new frame variant a min release and I assume they have more to release, as Beretta USA hasn’t said anything about the 94.
>>
>>65204284
i dont care what anyone says, the 90two is cool looking
>>
I assume it’s also steel frame. It seems they added a 92A1 style recoil buffer into the frame.

Anyone have a 48/43x? Is it worth """upgrading""" from a G19 now that we finally have factory 15 rounders?

ChatGPT has eaten his lunch recently when it comes to generalistic civilian camping with guns knowledge and has less nerd who never got punched in the mouth attitude. If the body armor and chinkshit guys in gear queer didn't keep that general alive he'd be stuck in the /arg/ ghetto nonstop with big boss and pastebin, which honestly sounds like hell. I'm about to get a 1911 for competition. It's gonna be my first 1911 ever (my other pistol is a CZ SP-01, with which I've also competed). What do I need to know about 1911s? Any elite ball knowledge here? Also, can I do a decent trigger job on Springfield MIM parts?

Pic rel, I'm on a budget, just gonna get that and slap a magwell on it and some other stuff.

>>65204271
Is that a roll pin near your index finger? I guess the trigger guard is replaceable which would also explain the fault below it. Never imagined there was a demand for modularity there given that most of them are milled / molded to the grip-frame
>>
>>65204834
>constantly having to replace the battery of a WML
No pastebin, not constantly. If you buy at least a streamlight then you won't have parasitic drain and the batteries last forever. They only die if you turn the light on and lets face it, you're not going to be training with your light enough to run them down. Just put in some batteries, clear your uhh I guess apartment or tent or whatever you sleep in, then forget about it until you need it. I have like 10 year old batteries in one light and it's still going strong.
>>

>constantly having to replace the battery of a WML

Nigga you replace your batteries every year. It literally takes me 15 minutes leisurely changing my 4 WML across 4 platforms, including the time it takes for me to grab all 4 and inspect them. Most common issues with 1911s is extractor tuning, learn how to do that yourself

My honest recommendation is to not do a trigger job if you have no idea what the fuck you’re doing, fucking with 1911 sear engagement is a bad idea. You can buy prefit kits of quality parts for only like 130-150 dollars that will drop in. Sear spring tuning is another thing, easy way to lower the pull weight but if you don’t know what you’re doing you can put the gun into a dangerous state

It would have been cool if they made it so it was an adjustable length grip so 20 round would be flush or something. This is marginally more cool than everything they've released this year so far for sure. I still find it lacking though. The thing is the 92X is basically perfect as it is, especially the LTT 92s. The PX4 on the other hand could use some love, still no factory optic mount. Would be cool if they had different grip variants and offered a metal frame.

>>65204344
I wish they would bring back a cool design like it.

>>65205009
Nice anon, I really enjoy mine. It makes shooting well super easy. I also found mine doesn't have much POI shift from 7 to 25 yards.
>>
>>65205129
I hate the 92XP so the new redesign (check the backstrap) interests me a lot.
>>
>>65204243
Why does everyone insist on making modern guns look ugly? I can't imagine these are that much more practical compared to designs from 15 years ago.
>>
>>65205129
>PX4 on the other hand could use some love
I'm getting the vibes that Beretta wants 9X to be their metal classic da/sa and iterate APX to get a piece of strikerslop market. PX4 future is uncertain.
>>
Why is a Ruger Mark IV so expensive? I really want to get it as a first gun because I'm interested in competition shooting, but even something like a 10/22 is significantly cheaper.
>>
>>65205203

It's certainly a step in the right direction but I just really think the frame safety thing was avoidable. All steel is great, same with DLC but they 92XP is what like 12-1500 (not incl rebate)? I can't imagine this being a reasonable price.

>>65205174
>PX4 future is uncertain
Grim, but I do hate it in its current form. I don't even think they care about the APX, I don't think I ever see those sell. Not that they aren't a good deal though with the rebates.

Picked up a TP-70 yesterday which appears to be fully functional in all ways but one, I can't for the life of me seem to get the fucking slide off.
Manual and vids on youtube make it clear, mag out, throw the safety on, rotate the takedown lever and it should come right off the front, but mine becomes caught up at pic related and refuses to move just before where it just pops off in these two vids.

Michigan in 25. Was excited to get hands on but the takedown continues to be frustrating haha.
I think the source of the problem was that the barrel is a hair too long or something? Serials match for the slide/barrel/frame but I can't get the damn thing to pivot and come out of the slide.
The top 2mm of the barrel seem blocked by the area below the firing pin, but without any area to pivot at the front of the barrel? Gun is making me feel fucking retarded

That was me. I can't provide proof because there is no expiration date on the batteries but I've only changed them once in ~15 years and they were still working yesterday. If there is no parasitic drain then they aren't losing charge if the light is not in use. idk why you are suspicious of that. Pistol lights last just as long as rifle lights and I never hear you say anything about those. But then again you don't have a light on your ar.

You made a good choice, Michigan ones were better made than Miami (and possibly a bit tighter) and 25 parts are much easier to find than 22 (I broke my firing pin and the 22 ones are unobtanium). On the barrel issue if you can't tap it out of place with some oil and a little mallet I would maybe consider hitting that part of the barrel with a tiny bit of flitz for a bit. Stupid question but when you're removing the barrel you're pushing it all the way forwards first right?

Noob question here... >>65205957
that's like boomer advice, it's good advice, ideally you'd ONLY practice with the same ammo as your defensive ammo. But there are brands of ammo that sell the FMJ practice ammo that's designed to be the exact same as the brand's JHP. Plus, quality FMJ and quality JHP as long as it's the same grain and velocity won't perform that differently. Another thing, don't buy defensive ammo that's super different from your practice ammo. Like 115 gr FMJ vs 147 gr JHP or 65 gr super velocity shit.

You should shoot your defensive ammo to make sure it works. Sometimes you'll find that your particular gun does not like X ammo.

uh oh, it seems when I was shooting 200 gr +P (1050 FPS) Speer lawman I was getting flame in the chamber.

ejection is very weak, I had to tune the extractor at the range the best I could and I think the combo needs an extended ejector. Perhaps a flat bottom firing pin stop to keep the chamber closed longer.

A zone basically, I was more focused on getting a good video. It has a wicked combat zero so in slow fire it was low but fist size at 7. I was too excited to take video of it and didn't really confirm the zero. I plan on sending it out to be optic cut

it has nearly no muzzle rise so at first I was putting too much input on it to lower it. the +P shit is fucking loud out of it.

>step 1: get all the rounds out of the gun in your desired time

>step 3: get all the rounds out of the gun into the A zone
You have to go faster, call your shots, even at speed calling your shots will help dissect your failures to make them into improvements

Yeah, not on the parts list in the manual either. Wonder if it is a custom bushing, the grips were all bubba'd up by a previous owner. Rotated the bushing and polished the snag area with a bit of mothers, now can get the barrel in and out without much effort. Slide still sticks like a bitch after cleaning and oiling, maybe just needs some fire to loosen up.
Already grabbed a factory bud magazine off ebay (so got a pair which hold the slide open), and ordered some replacement grips and a spare barrel from saar. Thinking of getting the spare barrel threaded too

>I couldn’t shoot it for shit

dawg dont worry about being some hyper marksman with your pocket gun, pistols are already not easy to just grab and shoot without practice

if you can put your target out to like 7 yards, and hit it with the whole mag/cylinder in 'center mass' or maybe like a 10-12" group and just practice until it gets smaller you're better then like 95% of people who own guns lol. I'll take my G17 out shooting and just be happy I string a few together that touch... they dont ALL do that.. but sometimes

Most burglars are smash and grab nignogs who kick doors and steal jewlery and cash. A "security cabinet" is unironically enough to deter 90% of burglars. It's the only other gun I have in .40 S&W besides the M&P 40 because most guns in .40 are just half assed 9mm conversions
>>
>>65209154
You can get a p30 in 40 sw

You need to understand anon
I rented a USP40 years ago and it was the smoothest .40 S&W gun I ever shot
But I felt more of a draw to .45 at the time and got the USP45
And then I found a good deal on a brand new USP40 this year and bought the gun

Welcome to Miami
Bienvenidos a Miami
>>
>>65209167
I get that but have you tried a p30? it's just a usp with improvements. I feel like the p30 and usp have both gotten cucked in the modding market because there's a big split between users. and most usp guys say they haven't shot a p30.
>>
>>65209171
M&P40 and Glock 22 Gen 3/4
the USP is just a far better gun because it was designed for it
>>
>>65207433
its funny that you think different people go to each of these generals and that its not the same 50 or so guys.

I don't go posting handguns in /arg/ like a retard

why not? no one really gives a shit. in every general on this board the primary topic is gossiping about the personalities in the general.
>>
>>65209198
That's part of the reason generals used to be banned.

So I did a drug test the other day. Chugged water all morning-- felt like a stallion ready to perform. I had the pre-race jitters in the lobby, but at the starting gun I gave the girls in the lab an overflowing cup.

That this is even a possibility is completely disgusting. What a fucking shit hole.

>>65210050
Yeah it's bullshit that I have to share the market with californians. Companies shouldn't waste their products by sending them there.

S&W should definitely be in abundance, a company rep I talked to a few weeks ago at the range said CA's their biggest market and my friend who got his gun loicense this week told me there are M&Ps everywhere.

KIMBER HAS SWITCHED FROM CHECKMATE TO DURAMAG FOR THEIR 2011 MAGS

Interesting. I'm sure the price will go down accor--LOL

Anyway the Durashits work fantastic in my Poverty, never had a single problem that wasn't ammo related. If they work they work and the CEO gets $50 more profit per $2,000 gun so its win-win
>>
>>65210796
I actually like the duramags since they're black. I have witnessed a prodigy mag explode when hitting concrete so maybe upgrading to aluminum baseplates is a good idea if you're doing reloads on concrete

I read this as durag and was wondering what kind of ethnic engineering this meant.

I prefer 2011 Duramags because they don't stick in my Maglula. The Checkmates jam in there and have to be yanked off after injecting each round
