Going to be a group buffbot with a tactician focus. My hyperfocused magic stat can make my Exalt buff turn anyone into a physical powerhouse and because of how levels work, pull anyone up to at least my level in physical ability. Hoping to get more support spells to help leverage my Mortal Bond skill.

Conveniently, the nature of my buff lends itself to raising all my stats up to further abuse Exalt and Favored Path.

The aim is to explore the dungeon and see if I can't level up each time with SSS magic.

Depends on what sort of save state you get. Auto-saves like RBD from Re:Zero or the MC's Die-And-Reset-The-Day Power from The Knight Only Lives Today are just curses meant to break your sanity, but save states where you have even a little control over it is unbelievably busted.

Save Slot by Troy X is a pretty good example of how broken save sates can be.

If it doesn't have auto resurrect you can just be killed and your dead.
If it does have auto resurrect well depending on how that resurrect works you might just literally be stuck in an infinite death timeloop.
Yes then there is the question of how many slots do you have and if the old slots are overwritten and how they are overwritten which will drastically effect the usability of the power.
Finally there is a common weakness to save slots that you might just get mindbroken or soul damaged. Unless it has some auto-reset functionality, but with an auto-reset you can fall into the same issue as the auto-ressurect and depending on how strict it is might just lock you out of other methods of power and possibly even immortality.

At some point you understand that the only truly good time loop would be some very specific op interpretation that patched up all the loopholes and if your going with such op boons well then go full out and give the actually best and most overpowered boon of all, perfect luck that gives the character the best possible outcome. How does the setting/franchise handle kicking people out of a Familia? Can only the Familia's God do it? How would that work in the case of Soma? Would I have to convince him to help me clean up his Familia?

I've tried to select companions that I'd be reasonably likely to meet in this pursuit or those that seem like they would be willing to help. Are there better picks for this?

Do you maintain your memories, if not then that is ground for extra points, or do you get them back at a certain age. I see so many complaints about miseryfagging in CYOAs that have barely any suffering in them relative to reality. I want to make a TRUE miseryfag CYOA by baking it into the core mechanics. The structure would be loosely inspired by Peil's A Life's Chronicle, but instead of careers, it's quests, and every one you complete and earn the rewards of also gains you several fate points that must be spent on mental, physical, and situational drawbacks. This represents the suffering you undergo on your adventure. At the same time, there should be a list of skills and traits that can evolve over time into minor powers. By the end of your quests, you will be some variety of tortured warrior that has repeatedly fought through impossible odds. Not because you chose to, but because the world itself wants to crush you under its weight, and the only thing left to do is to crush it right back.

But I can't decide. Should there be overarching enemies or should each quest be self-contained? I'm tempted to have several big enemies that are all involved in some of the quests but are only directly confronted in their own more intricate mega quests at the end.

Aside from the strength you've gained and the taste of victory, there will be rewards for each quest. Loot: treasures, magic items, more esoteric things like deeds to land, noble entitlement, or fame. Companionship: friends, assistants, potentially waifus, free service in taverns across the land, and so on. Power: weird magic to draw on, rare techniques to improve your skills, the chance to seize unnatural youth, that kind of thing.

The standard hero package. You'll be able to forfeit rewards by spending fate points on them instead of personal drawbacks. If you went 100% on this you could escape without much ardour but you wouldn't have a lot to show for it.
