Is this cunt still going? I saw a few posts in the last thread talking about the baeksangs and he got mad and started spamming shit because he didn't know what anyone was talking about, can't have kdrama discussion in the kdrama general!
bunch of haters how can a person even dislike park bo young it doesn't even make sense. but I see I've gone a bit overboard so for the rest of the thread I will not post any more park bo young, and prove I have more self control than a certain somebody who issues an apology then starts blog posting two posts later. any park bo young from this point forward is psyop posting and not me.
Not watching Scarecrow because I hate serial killers shows with a passion, but you guys should discuss it more and post webms, it would be a nice break from romslops
>>220389132 Idk how many others are watching it but I can bring it up more. 6 eps in and I still don't know if the killer has even shown his face in the past timeline yet..
I'm juggling Perfect Crown, Gold Land, and Snowdrop. Fell off watching Typhoon Family and Our Movie but I don't consider them dropped I'll finish them at some point.
>>220388056 this post right here proves that youre ntl as ive always expected. he has said this very same thing before. you think youre slick because you fool the low iq people in this general, but im too smart for that. i see through your bs ntl/pby schizo. >b-but muh torrents and ntl doesnt watch kdramas yes exactly what you want us to believe to pull off your twin personality trolling. youre a certified creep. and i will be proven right in time.
>>220391519 He's a gaslighter. It's all him. He does it when the thread is slowing down to stir up drama. Larps as ntl and Cuckzy to create fake arguments as well.
>>220391844 I like how she was 13yo at the time of filming yet was already getting shagged on the regular by /our pedo guy/ what's going on with him anyway? glad we don't have to see his little bitch face anymore but i'm still worried about him, wouldn't want him to kys over such a small thing as raping a little girl
>>220392315 Do you have evidence to back that up? Pretty sure he was thoroughly investigated and nothing was found. But come on armchair detective, show us what they couldn't find?
>>220392214 That's the least of this episode's problems (amongst them: barely any IU, tons of boring flashbacks covering the evil villainous villain evil plans, and the farewell to comedy because now we serious dramatic show for some reason even though we don't have the chops for that)
>>220392138 Just a little since she has a bf and their relationship does have a role in the story. But the dynamic between the 2 MLs is much more prominent
>>220392387 >Do you have evidence to back that up? Yes, tons. Although I can't talk about them for now since I've submitted those to the prosecution. Anyway, did he answer to your fan letters?
At first I thought Filing for Love was mid, but after watching 4 episodes, it's definitively a good show if you can look past some shitty tropes. The office comedy is actually funny, the ML is great which is rare in those kind of shows where they usually go for attractiveness before acting ability, and the romance is well written and quite endearing.
>>220393877 >if you can look past some shitty tropes >Multiple love interests for the FL >Another Slutmadari jerk off fest Exactly why I'm not interested. Enjoy your whore and cuck sloppa.
I you write anything good about any show you get attacked either by cuckzy (if it's a romcom) or the pby schizo (everything else), 100% of the time.
then as a bonus you can have ntl come in and say something along the lines of "omo this actress was in [nevertheless or doona, i.e. one of the two kdramas he has seen]!" and of course she never was because he's face blind and retarded at the same time
can i have some good recs? i wanna give kdramas another try only thing i watched was the tangerines show with IU couldn't get past the first episodes because of all the unnecessary crying
>>220391679 They don't want there to be any barriers to entry. The random viewer might get confused about who this "Oppa" character is, or think the characters are related if it was translated literally, so subs insist on the names.
>>220395561 It's not that she didn't save him, that was a meme. She literally say a word you know? Even as a professional giving condolences to someone you worked with and were close with in a beloved drama. Not a single thing, not one word, as if he never even existed...
>>220395624 she went to his funeral, why do you need her to release a public statement about his death because they were in one tv show together? did everyone else he'd worked with in his long career do that?
>>220398707 >>220396658 Enjoying "We Are All Trying Here" here quite a bit so far. One of the better dramas I've seen in a while. I figure if you liked My Mister or My Liberation Notes (maybe Misaeng too, but this has romance), it'll be a good watch.
>>220398830 Hermit crabs are the creepy old CEOs and directors of the entertainment industry; deers are the actresses they have sex with in exchange for favors
>>220400454 >why did IU and the prince swap aides? to add some comedic hijinks, the explanation given in the show is hilariously retarded >also the female aide is annoying af just say she's ugly bro, it's okay
>>220400859 >what was the explanation given? i missed it just that the male aide would be more useful to IU character because he knows the ways, customs and traditions of the palace explanation makes no sense, but imo it's a good thing for the show, different dynamics between the characters, I like it
>>220391637 >says she wants to be alone >he immediately opens the door again >says she wants to be alone again >immediately opens the door AGAIN how long does this go on for? What a jerk
just watched the new ep of We Are All Trying Here. its like Another Miss Oh, My Mister, and My Liberation Notes combined. There are so many lines borrowed from those shows. im not complaining tho. im still enjoying it.
>>220401180 She really has a unique voice, and yes she has her bag of tricks and her shows are immediately recognizable, but we're in an era where most shows seems scripted by AI so it's very refreshing
>>220401585 It's all crap until you find some drama that isn't romance slop bait or violence nonsense. K-movies are better, specially those from before the 2010s
>>220401585 you start with the top tier shows, and it's the best thing you've ever watched, so now you're condemned to watching k-slop for the rest of your life trying to reach that high again hope it helped
Trying to finish Ep10 of Perfect Crown is like an Olympic tier challenge. This fucking guy can't act for shit, plus his face doesn't even move one inch under any circumstances, even though he keeps crying like a little bitch in this episode, I didn't even know botox that strong existed.
I'm wondering why they didn't just call it 21st Century Prince's Wife for the english title. It's jarring whenever I see the giant 21 on the screen but nothing about it in the subs.
>>220405831 Yeah, episode 10 was all hers IU character doesn't exist anymore for some reason, she's now just there going through the romcom obligatory motions
>>220405251 Marketing purposes probably. 21st Century Prince's Wife doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Filing for Love, We Are All Trying Here, Sold Out on You, and My Royal Nemesis all have different korean titles too
>>220408576 You say that like there was ever any expectation for Perfect Crown to be more than a by the numbers filler romcom for Korean media obsessed girls to glance at while scrolling Insta and TikTok.
what indexers do you fags use to dl your latest k-kinos? wife wants me to add some and I'm having to manually dl them and add them to my plex manually, feel like a caveman
>>220410086 Yeah it's pretty good. Could be a doty contender if it doesn't shit its pants. Idk what the fuck that AI ass poster is though. Who even are those people kek
>>220391272 I wouldn't like this mong hobbit even if she wasn't spammed by a mentally ill tranny >>220410177 >>220410196 Uppercut yourself you fucking sperg prick
>>220408680 in a nutshell, everything that's wrong with perfect crown, yes. It went from an agreeable 6.5/10 (due to iu, tebimama and cute dumb step-sister) to a "honey, what's the fast-forward shortcut again?" 3/10.
They have to do all of these translation gymnastics when they could just use oppa. This doesn't even make sense, you wouldn't reprimand someone for using a person's name.
if Karma told us anything is that the netflix department that manage or delegate the production of netflix kdramas is made up of koreans residing in seoul, and those koreans are the one deciding on the kdrama violence/nudity level, international title and subtitles design & philosophy, not some US evil overlord maybe the schizo should go there and apply for a job to change things from the inside, i'm sure she'd be welcomed I hear that koreans are very open to work with non-bio women
>>220411027 you're not seeing the bigger picture they are merely reacting to an incentive structure that comes from the "US evil overlord", because things that don't line up with that are less likely to be picked up for international broadcast.
>>220411027 Would you get upset if your wife called her brother by his name? No, it doesn't even make sense. They also completely erased the joke from the scene.
>>220411197 the ones who can understand the joke do understand it, we're used to hear oppa and unnie and automatically adjust the ones who need a chatgtp novella explaining the meaning of every idiom to get the joke wouldn't be entertained by those explanations; on the other hand if they are entertained, they'll keep watching kdrama and pick up on those words by themselves given time
>>220411280 people have already 'picked up' those words. oppa has been in the english popular culture lexicon for over a decade now. You don't need a novella, the line should have just been >“If I don’t call oppa ‘oppa,’ should I call him ‘unnie’?”
The fact that they won't do this is a huge indicator that other stuff is being flattened, stuff that you just can't 'pick up' on, all in the name of an imaginary viewer that doesn't even exist in real life.
