I wonder if there might be a large number of cyoas/ryoas being made in other tg threads and other boards that we never hear of. The shadow biosphere of cyoas. I like the idea of it. very cool idea. One reason I enjoy CYOAs so much is that I think of them as an outgrowth of daydreaming, which basically everyone does to some degree. They're like a slightly more structured version, closer to the original thing than something like a novel, video game, or film because they insist on preference. These things have so much potential. I'm sure there are lots of them that exist outside our sphere; I've certainly seen a few over time

So stealing some ones soul would be closer to a transplant. The concept is further muddied as the souls in the setting are divisible as they can decay, you might even be able to graft parts of souls onto your decaying soul to stave off the destruction, which goes into the whole ship of Theseus debate.

the way I play it is that for the 5 abilities you can take the upgraded version since you end up paying half the cost of it anyways.
for the free chakra receiver creation and chakra absorption then it's only the base unless you choose to pay the full cost of its upgrade

I'm assuming you can get stats with Glutton from eating items with excelia, and you don't need to fight to level up either, so beyond training to Combat 1 and maintaning that level I won't really get into fight, maybe farm some drop item myself once I got Luck. Purge should allow me to eat stuffs beyond my level without dieing and without needing to spend on healing items also beyond my level to survive the ingestion, hopefully Glutton work fast.
Spend my time making money and crafting, craft potions and monsters to eat (maybe harvest some parts of living monsters for crafting too, like the dust from the moth and butterfly, or blood from anything with blood), spend money on materials and items to eat and to try crafting magic items to unlock the Mystery DA for Level 3. I could also buy blood from adventurers to eat.
Make a weak monster so I can unlock Tamer, if its effects is strong enough to grab. Not sure what DA to take after Luck and Mystery (or before Mystery if it is not available by Level 3) one of Resist, Tamer, Mixer or Mage, most likely Resist.

Autocannibalism build. Nothing is stopping me from making myself even stronger by consuming myself.This should make me even better at regeneration and could even evolve my Gluttony skill into being stronger through repeated autocannibalization. Metamagic Monster spell can be played with to see if I can make transformed portions of myself count as valid for Gluttony’s effect.

But there is no net gain of excelia your just regaining the excelia you had lost, it just seems like a very slow way to increase your xp as your skills are already going to grow in power from killing foes and struggling, eating yourself just sounds like a very slow process of doing the same. Sure it probably works but your better of just leveling normally.
